Bird still here. Very cooperative. Continues to return to same spot. Seems to
be interested in rats along shore. Currently on ground.

P.S. Exact location as of 12:03 pm:
>From parking lot, go to very end of first paved jetty. Bird is on the rocky

At Bush Terminal Park in Brooklyn. Found by Paul Clarke. Great views. On
berm at tip ofjetty. Rather close. Slim bill with blue base and black tip.
Bill more narrow and delicate than that of adjacent RBGUs.

A new migrant for the pocket park today: American Redstart. Brings the park
total to 23 species since folks started recording birds at this location last
year. Also pre
American Robin.
This morning I swung by and the Robin was still present and joined by two
Ovenbirds and a Common Yellowthroat (same bird?). This makes a least 22
species seen in this tiny park over the past 12 months.

The key to getting awesome help in Optics at the B &H store is "Bob". If you
get anyone else you'll be disappointed, but Bob has been there for years and is
a godsend. He is extremely knowledgeable, ethical, helpful and personable. I
couldn't recommend him more hig
or
several hours, along with four white-throated sparrows who seem equally
determined to make a meal of the frozen berries.
I am now waiting for the Orange-crowned to show up.. ;-)

Back to work in mid-town Manhattan, I thought I'd check out the "pocket park"
on W. 46th Street (btwn 5th and 6th Avenues, closer to 6th) this afternoon and
was nicely surprised by what I found:
1 Brown Thrasher (possibly two, but I couldn't confirm -- there has/has been a
pair here for a couple
heretofore unknown to us and made for a nice way to end the day.
