Andy - It probably would have helped if I had included my usual text clipping about my system. Those of us who are still using PowerMail with Mac OS 9 or earlier don't have TextEdit. I suggested AppleWorks since it would benefit many of us late-bloomers. True, it would be overkill, but I would
