Thanks I have finally got it. In case anyone else makes the same
mistake with gs
The prompt on gs takes commands with a different syntax from the
command line which is the string passed to gs when it is executed.
Also the the -p switch has no space between it and the filename
following

Try Turbo v4g21 when it goes on the site sometime this week.
If it still needs up grading George will listen.
