This should be fixed in latest svn - we now do the watching process in a
separate thread (this can take a long time if you have deep directory
trees which might be causing a dbus timeout and hence the crash in
deskbar)

I don't see a bug here. If this can be fixed by undoing some changes to
a config file then we need to find out what package or software (if any)
is modifying the config file to a broken state in the first place. If
modifying paths in xorg.conf fixes it, then this bug needs to be refiled

this happened to me as well. but, if i uninstall the nvidia-glx
package, then i do have 3D accel working with the i965 card. beryl
does not working with xinerama, though.
so it seems as if the nvidia-glx package interferes with the
acceleration for the i965 card.

- made an update (only a few packages)
- installed the nvidia-driver
- rebootet the system
- made a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and choose the nvidia-driver
- restarted xserver

VLC crashes when
Hi,
at boot my console is not setup, the font is not the one in /etc/default
/console-setup nor the size.
But when i start without usplash it works
It is like if the /etc/init.d/console-setup was not called when usplash
is on.

Meanwhile... we've discussed on the Voikko mailing list (http
://hunspell-fi.org/mailman/listinfo/devel_hunspell-fi.org) about the
other language-support-fi dependencies as well.
wfinnish, aspell-fi and myspell-fi should be removed from the
dependencies.
tmispell-voikko replaces wfinnish
so it seems as if the nvidia-glx package interferes with the
acceleration for the i965 card.
Yes, this was my conclusion also.
As I recall it (i could remember it wrong so better double check this)
the nvidia variant of libGL.so is not compatible with DRI. I.e. other
cards should have the

I experienced the same issue this morning on Feisty. The system prompted
me to contribute to the hardware database but directed me to the wrong
location (Application / System Tools) instead of System / Control Center
/ Hardware Information / hardware database.

Other packages are able to show their diff in update-manager correctly
without using the terminal. This should be changed in nfs-kernel-server
as well.
so it might be nfs-utils which needs fixing, after all.
