error accessing the file, and mapped this to the EACCES, which I don't
know to be incorrect.

I have the stuck keys problem as well. Every time it happens, I get a
syslog message like this:

The usb device in question is my Logitech MouseMan Wheel, model number
B-BD53. I have never seen this happen when I plug it in

Indeed there aren't, and my understanding is that the contacts stored in
imap are using the mail settings. Yet with the upgrade to gusty the
encoding of contacts is wrong while the one of mails is correct. On
feisty it worked fine.

Is anybody ever going to look at the bug? I think Ubuntu is slowly loosing

I think I have finally managed to find out where the problem is. I ran gksudo
displayconfig-gtk and changed driver from i810 to choose driver by model and
selected 845. It is put at 945.
When I changed that I clicked ctrl+alt+backspace and it tried to log back in
and it had some configuration
In my system the problem was dash. Installing ucf was working after
dpkg-reconfigure dash (choosing no) and /bin/sh being linked to
bash.
Problem seemed to be preinst/postinst scripts which failed when ran with
dash.

I had the same problem with embedded nForce NVIDIA network controller.
The fix consisting in putting options forcedeth msi=0 msix=0 in in the
interface file (and then sudo update-initramfs -u) worked for me as well.

Since 2 days I am getting this error in the dmesg randomly.
My system keeps running smoothly, so I guess it could be a software bug.
Running Gutsy 64 bit with 2.6.22-14-server kernel.
Harddisks are in software raid1.

Unable to install ubuntu 8.04. on Install system, system starts to load
and comes up with
Code: BAD EIP Value and Kernel Panic - not syncing.
Same with live cd or install/alternate cd. This only happens on 32bit
install. 64bit 8.04 installs fine. 32bit Fedora (9) installs

I have reinstalled the intel-drivers + the 915resolution package. It
seems like things have been fixed now, although I am not sure. I still
think this is related to the intel-driver.
If there is any way I can give some debug information, please let me
know.
