It's a probably a separate issue from bug 286828, since it shows directly using
smbclient.

Still banging away as best I can on this...

Just thought I would post to say I can confirm this issue. I posted a
bug as well, then noticed this one. Mine has been marked as a
duplicate.
I am having an issue where my panel seems to not reappear after
autohide, this only happens if I am using the cube. If I disable the
cube then it starts
Ok, I'm sorry, I was being mislead by ThinkWiki, that implied that I
only had to install thinkfinger-tools on Intrepid. After installing
libpam-thinkfinger and running the script everything went OK.

I have done some correspondence with Intel and it seems that the
official response is that DG45ID is not (at least currently) supported
on Linux and Intel is not going to fix this issue. The fact that this
board works against the EHCI specification published by Intel

It's a probably a separate issue from bug 286828, since it shows directly using
smbclient.
What happens if you try to mount the share (through /etc/fstab or
directly using nautilus) ?
