Headphones now working with laptop-micsense, getting closer to a full
working laptop under Ubuntu, my last two problems being sound
functionality not being restored after a suspend / resume and my GeForce
Go 7600's fan speed not being handled at all, depends on the speed at
last Windows shutdown
Same here, no sound when leaving suspend mode on Toshiba P100-PSPADE.
I'll try the laptop-micsense workaround for jack connection and report
about it soon.

Hello guys, I'm from #134734. Well after reading your comments, I think
you're wrong when some of you are saying that the DSDT doesn't get
loaded. The dmesg says it was and as said before, if you disassemble the
current DSDT, you're getting your modified version. So here the problem
is not.
Is there anything we can do to speed up the process of resolving this
bug? I'd like to be able to do it by myself but I guess we need someone
in the MOTU or core team to get this fixed.

What is weird is that it worked in Feisty, which means there was a
regression somewhere in alsa / linux-ubuntu-modules / the kernel. Hope
someone will have a look at it, I can't wait to hear it working again...

Sound not working after upgrading to gutsy (Intel 82801G HDA)
Thanks, now i know somebody sharing my problem ;). I have the
~/.asoundrc and ~/.asoundrc.asoundconf files since i ran asoundconf set-
default-card Intel. But it makes no difference.
Does anybody have a clue? Since it was working in Feisty, there must be
some kind of solution to this issue.

Please, don't ignore this bug. I have another which seems related
(#134734) and no one ever answered to it. Anyway there seems to be many
people with problems with HDA Intel sound module since upgrading to
How should I achieve this? Do I have to first uninstall alsa-driver
1.0.14 via apt? And what packages should I install? Only alsa-driver?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
I've also got a Toshiba P100. In order to get sound under Feisty, you
need to correct your DSDT, following instructions at this address :
(http://sle.homelinux.net/wiki/doku.php?id=ubuntu-7.04:dsdt (it's in
french...).
The HDA Intel chipset will then start gracefully thanks to the DSDT
I think I have the same problem, sound was working under Feisty after
DSDT correction (I'm on a Toshiba P100-477), but now under Gutsy, I have
no more sound... hope it gets fixed before gutsy release!
