That's weird indeed. It's hard to believe that it's an UI issue, as I
haven't seen that and don't see that on Fedora. Could it be related to
dconf setting not being stored and the filters being reloaded a second
later from dconf? I did see some other reports of settings not being

Yes, that's an issue fixed upstream, however Ubuntu still uses an older
version, and probably won't get upgraded to the current stable release
in the next cycle either, so unless someone's willing to backport the
patch, this won't change.
