I think I am hitting the same problem; interestingly on Xubuntu 14.04 ... and a
plantronics blackwire 420 headset.
Any time I use it to make a call (and start using its volume keys) ...
mouse/keyboard get "whacked" that way.

debugging information automatically attached, could you please file a new
report with Ubuntu by executing the following in a terminal:

Excactly the same bug occurs to me th elast few weeks.
Logitec wireless mouse and keyboard on a logitec unifying receiver and only the
mouse looses clicks while the keyboard keeps functioning.
Switching to virtual consoles and back doens't do anything.
Logout and back in will fix it so it almost l

There were a couple of kernel updates after the previous comment on
14.04 and then I didn't see the issue for several weeks, including
initially after 14.10 upgade. Today I can frequently only get one left
click before it stops working.
