after my children were playing with the keyboard when the screensaver
was on (password locked).
Now I know, there is SHIFT-NUMLOCK key combination to toggle the state of the

I have had the issue, but in my case it seemed to be caused by some broken
package dependencies.
After resolving them and rebooting, the issue was gone.
Probably you should have a look at the package dependencies, if you can't fix
it with the suggestion above.

Accessing with nautilus sometimes works, but then copying all photos to hard
disk will result in a hang after some files have been copied slowly with some
bursts where speed is high, later s

for communicating with the camera and not caused by the application

I have also encountered this with a "KODAK EASYSHARE MINI Camera M200"
camera on ubuntu 10.0.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx).
I was able to access the files from the camera despite of the "Error
initializing camera: -60: Could not lock the device", but copying is
very unreliable and fails:

I think that the first mount contains the camera's internal memory card
with configuration and maybe firmware, while the second one contains the
cameras SD card containing the photos.
Maybe it would be a good idea, not to mount the first one to protect beginners
from deleting important configurat

After upgrade from 10.04, the UA-101 inputs and outputs seem unavailable
in standard audio settings while the soundcard has been detected and
works when directly selected in vlc.

After upgrading to 12.04 there is no Konversation system tray icon at all with
the new unity desktop, despite of beeing enabled in Konversation.
Other applications, such as vlc have an icon in the system tray.

Since upgrading from ubuntu 10.04 to ubuntu 12.04 the eject command
sometimes fails to eject the drive:
