Compile the driver I install git on "Xubuntu 13.10" in one of the
attempts to start the system crash xfsettingsd could get a picture on
the screen. See the bug #1296449 .
I tried it on kubuntu 13.10, installing the driver deb there were no
issues. So I think that the problem of the black screen is
I think it is a problem in Xorg of saucy.
I tried the beta version 1 of "trusty" 64-bit and goes well without
problems. It's a relief.

as if the screen turn off. The only novelty is that if you can access
the TTY console.

Maybe this was caused by a kernel configuration error.
It happened to me with archlinux, the ttys in blank and openchrome
crash, I'm testing but after today's update the ttys (ctrl + alt +1.2
etc) are displayed correctly.
