[313] Record ID: 'What is House Music?'
A few weeks back I asked what this record was that had a female vocal that said, 'What is house music? A unique form of dance music.' Someone told me it was Felix Da Housecat What Is House Muzik? Since then a friend has told me it was DJ Pierre on Emotive under the guise of Future Scope. Can anybody confirm these details? cheers, SMc - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It is DJ Pierre on Emotive. The original pressing was on clear vinyl so it has always stood out to me. A couple of the guys behind the Giant stuff went to school here in Atlanta and have since moved on to California, they have been doing this since the late 80's. RE: [313] obey
Shepard Fairely is the man behind the creative, the group I'm referring to are the ones that help with postering printing etc. Shepard met them in/around Columbia SC when he lived in Charleston prior to moving to NY, sorry to confuse. My interest in this came about because the group I mention have a good ear for electronica and I think the minimalist nature of their posters parallels the style of music that this list is dedicated to. Sorry for trying to tap the creative side of all this, I truly ologize:( I was excited to see a reference to art of some nature hit this list. Visual interpretation to me is such an important factor as to why the Detroit genre of music even exists. But your right we should be talking about what T-shirts we are all going to wear to DEMF and not topics that could hopefully influence someone to produce the next Sonic Sunset EP or War of The Worlds 12 inch. Ah those were the days... dK -Original Message- From: graham [tan] wilson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, May 20, 2001 11:25 AM To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: [313] obey From: Dan Kurzius [EMAIL PROTECTED] : A couple of the guys behind the Giant stuff went to school here in Atlanta : and have since moved on to California, they have been doing this since the : late 80's. Re: [313] Is anybody getting together?
I don't think anything official has been announced. There's the Thinkbox/Neksis/313/mp313 launch party @ Amsterdam in Windsor on Friday night where we hope a lot of the 313 folk will be. Listmembers Benjamin Cuthbert (DJ Ben Wu), DJ Revolver, Bill Van Loo, Diana Potts and myself will all be playing. Some of the other DJs might be on 313 too (sorry if I missed ya). I'll also be spinning some of my new music if anyone's intrigued to hear it. I've heard of one other list meet too but I don't know how public/private it is.
