just wanted to say I had a great time at the show, the ghostly crew know how to
rock, the temple club right.

got a couple of new records there.
the new disconeuvo release is really hot, I'm groovin on the dmx crew and the
legowelt cuts, I feel this addeum is the best in the series.

the dabryne (sp?) I think it is a remix of the 2x12 that was released this

cuts are are just as solid.

All the Maurizio records, especially M5 and M6.

Rob Hood's 'Untitled'.

Surprise, surprise, these are minimal too! :)

Sean Deason as Freq's 'Xirtram 2'.

There's a Claude Young on Frictional I like to mess with too, but I can
never seem to get it quite right.

Maybe these are just the records I have doubles of... :)

2 copies of Hardfloor's Acperience 1 sounds very nice.

It's one of those things where you not only need 2 copies, but 2 copies that
have been pressed well. Otherwise you end up with the sampling getting
phased too fast when you thumb the spindle. (If that's the right
terminology) ;)

Red passion 2 (I think but it might be three) is a really good two
copies record since not only do the two sides mix together really nice
but you can produce some cool stuff with one of the tracks where if you
play the second copy 2 beats behind the first you can cut back and forth
and you just get the beats

OK, OK, Mr bad language filter, you win: the Sh!t...

The Kenny Larkin mix of Xirtam 2 is downright dangerous with two copies.
As is doubles of the CC Drums Suck mix of Dave Angel (whatever it is called,
I forget right now). Also, try scratching a double of 69 Poi et Pas back a
half beat or two as it dips into the filter - as it comes out it's still
phazing but the resulting rhythm is wicked. Things with filtering going on

1992 BIBB single semi-transparent blue vinyl

1992 BIBB double pack with intergalactic beats vinyl came out in both
grey and solid marble light blue

Then Carl repressed the original BIBB music on clear vinyl(with no
artwork or label in the center) that came in a clear sleeve with a
sticker-label on the sleeve a few years later, around the time when he
remixed BIBB(jazz remix, peshay remix, claude young remix, backstreet
boys remix, etc etc).

BIBB was remixed and released yet again on the innerzone Programmed
release.

Right.

Because I'm a pedantic t**t, I feel compelled to answer this. and, yes, I

The Quadrant thing was first issued on coloured vinyl (blue?), with the
coloured mosaic label.

Then it came out with the same coloured mosaic label on black vinyl.

Then it was issued several years later on blue? vinyl with the
blue/grey/white buildings label.

Anyone who cares to argue, I'll meet you behind the bikesheds after school

Bug in the bassbin...

so how many are there, and how many do I have?

8) Mo wax grey and white dots sleeve 10 (me dont have)

Isn't this the one-sided affair that just had the Claude Young remix on it -
which is pretty nice. Or maybe I'm thinking of something else?

 1) as extra 12 with the Intergalactic Beats comp. grey marble vinyl
 2) on blue vinyl

These are the original releases

 3) grey marble vinyl. same as on 1) but sold seperately.

I thought the grey marble(and light blue) were both part of the
intergalactic dbl packs

 4) the one in the red sleeve, with a remix onm the back (PE107696SAE)
 5) same as 4) but then on 180 grams vinyl pressing (me dont have, :( )

Dont forget about the clear vinyl with no label with the original tracks

 6) Mo wax grey and white dots sleeve 12 #1
 7) Mo wax grey and white dots sleeve 12 #2
 8) Mo wax grey and white dots sleeve 10 (me dont have)

and on the 4 different album versions of course... :)

Id like to know what was going on inside of the remixers heads when they
decided to remix Bug in the Bassbin. Ditto for the people that remixed

 True.

There was a Planet E release which was the original and the jazz mix (if
I'm not mistaken) and then there were the multiple Mo' Wax releases and
 their
 remixes.

Right, both planet e and mowax released the jazz and remixes, same music
though AFAIK

BIBB was remixed and released yet again on the innerzone Programmed
 release.

Not true. What was on Programmed was essentially the Jazz mix. There
 may
have been some slight alteration for the album format, but it was merely
included as part of the album package, not remixed or available as a single.

My mistake, I though the jazz version on Programmed was a remixed
version of the older mowax release.

names it as a different track but they sound the same, to the point where they
do the double phasing deal.

2002-11-15 Thread Arne Weinberg
Hello folks!

I have a record that comes without any info about the artists and therefore I
would like to ask all you trainspotters out there for a little bit of help.

It is a 12 in clear vinyl with a big coloured Radioactivity sign on the
labels. There is an info on the cover that tells: Mururoa - Stop it! All
profit made from this EP by participating artists and record companies will be
donated to charities that can help end nuclear weapons testing
On the back of the cover are more infos in french, italy, english and dutch
I really think that there are 4 different artists on this record like the cover
also saysfrom different places around the world ( The hague, Detroit,
London, Rome) have joined together
One track sounds really like Ectomorph and another like Aphex Twin!!

Does anybody know this record and can tell me more about it? Artists?

Thanx in advance.

(313) OT: 4th amendment rights

I just thought I'd send this off to the list, in case people weren't aware of
this: If you live in Detroit you technically have no 4th amendment rights under
federal law, as the city resides within 25 miles of the US/Canada border. In
the past week checkpoints with random searches were set up near Port Huron and
Treton. Currently there are no plans to install them in Detroit, but who knows
about the future, with homeland security, being such a pressing concern. May
be somthing to consider if you cross the border for parties.

Hi friends,

I finally got myself ugly edits #1 with the beautieful jill scott - slowely

I could ask the same question about ugly edits #2 and #3, I know that the
A-side of #3 samples freddie hubbard - little sunflower from the love

I also know this has already been answered on the list.. but I must have
lost the original email.

You lose 4th amendment right every time you get pulled over by a cop here ;)

Bur seriously, it's always easy crossing over to Canada..it's coming that
they hassle you. I find that a passport is the best solution. Southern
California has had to deal with the problem of random checkpoints for years,
and they're pretty efficient at conducting the stops. They usually don't
stop every car.

If they're looking for terrorists in those 2 areas, they're going to get
bored quick.
