Re: [AI] Creative technological invention in VI domain
Respected, glad to know about you and your work. Since I to am a software developer, this augments my strength. About the projects you’ve done as of now, though I’ve never tried any of them, yet they seems to be interesting, and I’d give them a shot soon as I’ll find some time off. About the programming language editor, great thoughts, this will help a lot since the languages like c#, vb.net, java etc are greatly in demand, and what best it could be to make them accessible for blind and visually impaired persons. I’ve never worked in development for any community based software, but I had a thought to make the present programs/softwares accessible rather constructing new. This I mean, is to make some special tuning with softwares like jaws or else to make them working with the prodicts which are popular in mainstream. For example, we have jaws scripts for vs.net, and indeed it does makes the vs.net accessible quite an extent. However, a lot needed to be done to make it fully supported. What I mean is, to make accessible to those main stream prodicts which are highly used in classrooms as well as workplaces. In fact they contains better features then what we would create. Moreover, since the majority of books, tutorials, and reference materials are made for those mainstream prodicts, it will be easyer for a blind or visually impaired person to explore them as they are taught in their classes, their class mates uses them, books are available for them, and other so called reasons. What do you think? And, one more very important thing, Why don’t you guys consider to make OCR based softwares for Indian languages? I’ve seen a number of people craving for hindi OCR, tamil OCR, and so on. It’ll be great if you can at least include in your future to-do list. wanna look inside me? Presently I am working with Webel Mediatronics Limited, kolkata. I develop software’s for my specially able friends and respected seniors/juniors who are willing to work with Computer and various software applications that are still very complex to use with JAWS, Screen reading software. I developed a screen reading software using Visual Basic programming language for WINDOWS. we and ICEVI both developed the WIMATS software for Mathematical Braille using nemeth code standard, please see the below link for details www.webelmediatronics.in/wimats.htm, our others Braille software’s are Text to Braille, Math Braille, Tactile reader, dot direct Braille and lots . we also have experience to work with Cerebral Palsy. Presently we made a market survey on VI domain and decided to develop some new software application 1. A programming language editor: we planed that this editor will be fully voice supported with very simple accessibilities of tools, using this editor users can write more that one programming languages. say if user want to write visual basic program then she/he no need to open Visual studio editor, our editor will provide support to develop visual programming again if any one want to write JAVA code then this same editor will help her/him to write code, that way we will incorporate a lots of programming support into this editor. We will enable TTS based voice support with this editor and key board shortcut and totally mouse free operation with it. 2. Secondly we are working with Optical Braille Recognition (OBR), that offers many benefits to Braille users and people who work with them. we are working to develop new algorithm for detecting dots composing Braille characters in an image of embossed Braille material obtained by an optical scanner. We assume that a mixture of Beta distributions can model the histogram of a scanned Braille document. The core of the proposed method is the use of stability of threshold with Beta distribution to initiate the process of thresholds estimation. Segmented Braille image is then used to form a grid that contains recto dots and another one that contains verso dots. Using segmented image, Braille dots composing characters on both side and double-sided documents are automatically identified from those grids with excellent accuracy. We are now ready to share our technology and interest with you, kindly any organization or agencies hearty interested to execute our projects fruitful in real file please contact us at the given emailed,

Re: [AI] Creative technological invention in VI domain
Dear Mr.prateek Its not clear to me what you want to say about this language editor. I think you know it will totally programming language irrespective application, you can design and compile all existing major programming languages inside a single, totally sound supported editor with out ordering any JAWS SCRIPT development for that. In future we have plan to add the Mathematics/Scientific editor also with it, that is already developed. I think you don't know about WML Screen Reader, then WIMATS(ICEVI and WML product), thats is our mathematical braille transcription software. Its our own developed Very low price software, thats the major advantages of our application in contrast with other available software applications. We are very much aware of present financial status of major Blind schools in India, and in fact its very tough to effort such high priced software. thats why we start to walk in this field with some moral obligations also. If you want to use our software for your own or any commercial uses , you may inform me through mail. on OCR we are now doing some RnD on standared rules for color code optimization. [AI] [Subhash Vashishth's Blog] A step further to ensure that Blind Judges can fun...
Dear Friends, Please refer to my earlier posts on how can a Blind person work as a Judge http://subhashvashishth.blogspot.com/2009/06/can-blind-person-work-as-judge.htmlin which I had proposed that if the petitioner, Counters, Rejoinders, Evidence, Affidavits, judgements/orders and all other documents could be in e-format, the Blind Judges would be a great success. This provides an enabling environment. Though the reasoning being given may not be striving towards an accessible and enabling environment and may be to counter shortcomings of a paper-based system like storage, maintenance and wastage of a lot of paper, it works fine for us. A blessing in disguise. Sustainability requires inclusion of all as well as being eco-friendly. With this news, I am delighted that what I proposed some time back is surely going to see the light of the day. The good part is that the judge would be able to look at the file and relevant rules/acts on a touch/screen just like a file in the hand. And this makes it so accessible to blind judges. I am sincerely counting on atleast six-seven blind candidates who are appearing for the forthcoming Delhi Judical Service examination being conducted by Delhi High Court. The preparation are in full swing and I am keeping my fingers crossed. To read the news from source click on the link below or read the news here itself below the link. regards SC Vashishth, Advocate-Disability Rights To read from Source click here.http://www.igovernment.in/site/Delhi-High-Court-to-start-e-Courts-in-Dec/ *Delhi High Court to start e-Courts in Dec* e-Courts will reduce paperwork and filing of cases will be much easier and lawyers will have just to submit a CD or DVD Published on 11/27/2009 2:01:55 PM New Delhi: The Delhi High Court plans to start e-Courts that will not only ensure speedy justice for all but reduce paperwork and be eco-friendly, by next month. The necessity of e-Courts has arisen due to shortcomings of a paper-based system like storage, maintenance and wastage of a lot of paper, Justice BD Ahmed said. Justice Ahmad, who is the in-charge of the e-Court committee, said the e-Courts will start functioning from early next month, reports IANS. Emphasising the need for fast disposal of cases, he said e-Courts will function in a more organised manner and anyone across the world can see the case file. We are also working on the project in which live court proceedings would also be seen on the website, Justice Ahmed said, adding that the project will be first started in one court and will soon be started in all other courts, including the five district courts in the capital. For lawyers and litigants, the e-Courts will be a great help as it would enable them to stop carrying bulky files to the court and just a USB device or the CD of their case. Recording of evidence in any case will be done electronically. We are planning to have centres all across the capital from where the person can record his statement and the court can see it via video-conferencing. This will help us in saving a lot of time not only of litigants but also of the court, Justice S Muralidhar, another member of the e-Court committee said. He noted the new system will also help to put a halt to frequent adjournments by the lawyers. With the help of e-Courts, warrants, court notices and other documents can be sent via e-mail to the party or the post office concerned from where a service slip will be sent back confirming the receipt. We will also ensure that courts shall provide adequate facility to the lawyers while they argue their case using the laptops. Judges will also be given a touch screen handbook which will be like their computer screen and they can read it like a file, Justice Ahmed said. With the introduction of e-Courts, filing of cases will be much easier and lawyers will have just to submit a CD or DVD. We are also planning to introduce a system where court fees can be paid online so that entire work is done at a click of mouse, Justice Ahmed said, noting introduction of e-Courts will enhance transparency, accountability and accessibility for a litigant. -- Posted By SC Vashishth to Subhash Vashishth's Bloghttp://subhashvashishth.blogspot.com/2009/11/step-further-to-ensure-that-blind.htmlat 11/27/2009 05:51:00 AM -- Warm regards, Subhash Chandra Vashishth Mobile: +91 (11) 9811125521 Please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to. [AI] Change Which Files and printers are to be Shared in a Homegroup in Windows 7
Change Which Files are Shared in a Homegroup in Windows 7 Sometimes you might be sharing too much or not enough with your Homegroup in Windows 7. Today we take a look at how to change what files you’re sharing. The Homegroup feature in Windows 7 makes sharing music, video, and other files with other Windows 7 users in your household very easy. Sometimes you might want to limit the libraries or specific files users have access to. Change Homegroup Sharing First type homegroup into the search box in the Start menu. This opens up the Change homegroup settings window where you just need to uncheck what libraries or printers that you don’t want shared. What if you want to share a library but not certain files? Go into the library and choose the file(s) you don’t want shared, and in on the toolbar select Share with and Nobody. You can also access the same options from the context menu. Notice that there will be a lock icon associated with files you’re not sharing with everyone. You can also use this to control what type of permissions a user has with different files. For instance you might want a user in the group to be able to read a document but not make any changes, so then you would make it Read only. The Homegroup feature in Windows 7 makes sharing easy, and with these steps, you can better control who has access to what. Respected Sir, To be very very honest I have never used this functionality. But still, whatever I know about this, I am sharing with you. For creating group in outlook express, we have to use the 'new group option' of our address book. What I remember, in the address book if we press ctrl+g, it brings create new group option. Then, enter the group name and click on select members option. Then, there are some list views. From there, select the name which you want to add in your members list, and click on select or something button. And then finally click on ok. Now when you wish to send any mail to particular group, instead of all email addresses just enter the group name in the 'to' field, and click on send. I have heard that when sending email to the group, everyone (Group Member) is able to see all the email addresses to which the mail is sent. If you have any questions/difficulties, then I'll be glad to solve that. Regards, Amar Jain. - Original Message - From: Shyam M. Yes, we can. For that, login to gmail using standard view. Then go to contacts and explore the contact manager. I guess there is a combo box for creating a group and adding but I am not sure as I had explored quite a long ago. But, exploring contact manager in standard view will solve your problem. Once you have got your group with the members you want, just entering name in the 'to' field will send the mail to all members of that group. - Original Message - From: Balaram Puthiya balaramputh...@gmail.com To: accessindia accessindia@accessindia.org.in Sent: Thursday, November 26, 2009 3:52 PM Subject: [AI] A doubt regarding Gmail. Re: [AI] Creative technological invention in VI domain
As for the programming editor, have you seen edsharp? -Original Message- From: accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Avik Chatterjee Sent: Friday, November 27, 2009 10:33 AM To: ki...@uniquestindia.com; accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: [AI] Creative technological invention in VI domain Dear Sir/Madam I am a software engineer, last two years I am working on the field of visually impairment. Presently I am working with Webel Mediatronics Limited, kolkata. I develop software's for my specially able friends and respected seniors/juniors who are willing to work with Computer and various software applications that are still very complex to use with JAWS, Screen reading software. I developed a screen reading software using Visual Basic programming language for WINDOWS. we and ICEVI both developed the WIMATS software for Mathematical Braille using nemeth code standard, please see the below link for details www.webelmediatronics.in/wimats.htm, our others Braille software's are Text to Braille, Math Braille, Tactile reader, dot direct Braille and lots . we also have experience to work with Cerebral Palsy. We are now ready to share our technology and interest with you, kindly any organization or agencies hearty interested to execute our projects fruitful in real file please contact us at the given emailed, avik.chatterjee@gmail.com.
