Only one or two words are shown in a line. If I check wordrap under

What could be the problem. Kindly throw some light. I would appreciate

Subject: [AI] Radio's vanishing from the market

Friends

It seems now radio is soon going to be an extinct entity. There are
practically no radio's covering the shortwave bands available. Until
rescently, one could easily get Chineese radios which covered a decent
spectrum of the shortwave and also had the TV bands. Those are no where to
be found in any shops and even online.
Being a radioenthusiast, it was pretty disturbing. Online I could find
only

on Rediff shopping store 2 decent model which covered the entire shortwave
spectrum, one was a not known brand, maybe Chineese for Rs. 800,
considering

the situation, I bought Sony ICF SW11. Sony radio's are known to be long
lasting and therefore I made the pick. It is good on sensitive,
selectivity
and sensitivity. It also covered the Long wave band which does not pick
any

station in our region.
Although, this was very expensive, I think it is a good buy. I am just
letting folks know, maybe you probably have the last chance on picking a
radio. FM radio's of course are available in plenty.

Harish.

These parameters are mostly variables and can be set and customised.
What is really important is the accessibility.
They have a free trial download and that can answer a lot of

There is technical limitation in Tally, it does not expose

 but
cannot make it as accessible as MS Excel.
At that time, we explained the Tally developers how they can make
 some
changes in their code to make it accessible. Initially they agreed

after some months they stopped working on these improvements.

I am not aware if further development on this subject took place
 after
that. A couple of people contacted me for guidance, they wanted to

Busywin is a better option than Tally on accessibility terms. The

 hi,
the jaws scripts for tally is only available till 7.2.
busy win version 12 is one such software that is somewhat useable
 with
 jaws.
the good thing of it that it supports the tally's files also, so you
can try the demo and can go for it if you like it.
the edit boxs can be labeled in the busy and rest things are
 readable
 with jaws cursor.
 do try, might help.

Those are no where
 to
be found in any shops and even online.
Being a radioenthusiast, it was pretty disturbing. Online I could find
 only
on Rediff shopping store 2 decent model which covered the entire
 shortwave
spectrum, one was a not known brand, maybe Chineese for Rs. 800,
 considering
the situation, I bought Sony ICF SW11.

 Harish.

Re: [AI] Request for suggestions for purchasing netbook or minilaptop

2014-09-28 Thread Bhavya shah
Hi.
I am not sure if I would really recommend HP Mini, since it did give
me problems throughout the year. I played about with it a lot, I must
admit, but it was terribly slow in the end, despite stripping it down.
Have a look at
http://www.flipkart.com/sony-vaio-pro-11-p11213sn-b-netbook-4th-gen-ci5-4gb-128gb-ssd-win8/p/itmdm86qfpd7smg3?pid=COMDM86KHX8AFZYFotracker=from-searchsrno=t_2query=laptopref=de837060-9065-43d2-ae84-b34142275ea4
I don't have any personal experience, but had bookmarked this page
some time ago. From the specs, it seems to be a good laptop.

Hi Siddhi,
Go to the view menu and then to page navigation. Find the menu item called
page. This allows you to go to any page in the document by specifying its
number. The current page number is displayed. Be warned, the above steps are
acrobat reader version specific therefore the steps you need to follow may be
different. For example, in an older version of Adobe Reader, I could hit ctrl+g
and invoke the go to page function.-Original Message-

Hi, if you press control + shift n, you would know the current page in
the offline document. You could use this box to jump on any page you
wish to go to by inserting the page number.
In online pdf document, it usually says the number of pages in that
document just below the edit box, there after you could use the edit
box to change the pages online or use the download button to save the
document.

[AI] Fwd: IIT students developing low-cost portable Braille printer

Subject: IIT students developing low-cost portable Braille printer
To:

In a bid to make technology affordable and accessible to people with vision
disabilities, Sandeep Konam, a B. Tech. final-year ECE student at Indian
Institutes of Technology (IIT), Idupulapaya, and a group of IITians are
engaged in not only developing a low-cost portable Braille printer that
could cost as much as an average Android mobile but also in integrating
graphics, tables and images in Indian languages.

Mr. Konam and other B. Tech. students -- P. Laksh Kumar, V. Shakti Priyan,
Ayushman Talwar, Amera Ali, Aparna Hariharan, Sai Revanth Tadepalli, Syed
Junaid Ahmed and Rohith Sirpa -- from diverse branches such as design,
electronics, mechanical and computer science from IITs and NITs across
India, demonstrated a prototype at a workshop titled ReDx: Engineering the
Eye at Hyderabad recently. A portable working model of a Braille printer
was expected to be optimised by December this year, Mr. Konam said.

Mentored by Elliott J. Rouse, Post-Doctoral Associate of Biomechatronics
Group, MIT Media Lab, and assisted by premier institutions such as L.V.
Prasad Eye Institute Innovation Centre, Cyient (formerly Infosys) and the
Tata Centre for Technology and Design, the low-cost Braille printer, a
counterpart to ink printers, using solenoids to control the embossing pins,
could revolutionize the facility for people who are blind and low vision.
Developing a prototype that can be used in open source community and
qualitative enough to meet the needs of people with vision disabilities is
our goal, says Mr. Konam. We have hacked a vinyl cutter and
reverse-engineered it for usability as Braille printer.

 Harish.

Re: [AI] Need info about recharging mobile through internet.

2014-09-28 Thread Quick Call India
Dear Members,
My apologies for delayed response to the queries.

We completely understand your concern and queries. After all its your own
money and you have every right to clarify any doubt small or big.
I have tried to address the queries here.

We have 4 filters to authenticate caller identity:

1. Orders can be placed only if the caller calls from registered contact
no. We have inbuilt caller ID.
2. To authenticate caller, we have Voice Recognition and Authentication
Software(VRAS). Software is automatic and inbuilt. VRAS matches callers
voice with existing sample within seconds while you place your order.
3. In case of any suspicious activity, quick call team calls back the
caller to confirm purchase.
4 There is a simple and quick process to change your registered contact
number, if need be.

I would like to add that having so stringent safety measures does not
impact the speed of the transactions. We have this system in place to
ensure that the user authentication is automated, effortless and takes
minimum time.

Please reply incase you wish to know more. We would be glad to answer.

Thanks

such people into loyal customers who will pull others too.

hi first i would like to inform you that this wallet service provide
may not be ok for people like us. because of the following reasons.
1: although it has a good option to recharge your mobile phone by
simply dialing their toolfree no. but you can not change the operator
if the mobile number is being port-out, suppose a mobile number
belongs to idea, and the same has been port-out to any other service
provider say airtel. the IVR detects as idea. there is another
 service

provider name paytm.com is also ofering this types of service, but
 it
did not allowed to change the operator option.
2: although they have the criteria that one has to keep 3000 as
minimum balance it is their discretion and every company has certain
policy. but their cash loading facility is not good. as one have to
rush to SBI branches to through cash into their account, and i guess
that the user must inform about the fund transfer details. you are
aware that the non-home fund transfer charges has been increase to
 rs.

50 and every time one have to search for some one to fill up the
vouture. if one is not availing the online banking services.
so over all i recommend all of you for mobikwik of oxigen wallet. as
it has no minimum balance criteria, you can load upto 1 if you
 are

not KYC compliance and if you are compliance with KYC you can park
   upto 5 in a month.
the best thing is that you don't have to rush to any bank to load
