Hey Dinu,

There is no restriction on buying 2 wheeler. We can surely buy and you no
need to do anything as an extra care. However, beware from agents if you're
transferring the vehicle which you have already. Agents ask lot of money for
this which is not required at all. Just fill form online and follow the
process.

Nitin

Hello Friends,

I want to know if a visually impaired person is permited to purchase a 2
wheeler in his or her own name?

Or are there any ristrictions?

Are there any factors that a visually impaired person should keep in mind
while purchasing?

Please guide.

Thanks and Regards.

Sambhavana organization is trying to file a contempt petition. But
since last two months they are collecting the money, and they are
saying unless you (the candidates who are interested in the case) give
us 50,000 rupees, we will not proceed with the case. So far as, the
contribution has reached to 31,000 rupees, and we are still waiting
for remaining amount, then the case will be filed!

Re: [AI] Unable to read E-version of Employment News

2016-06-29 Thread Kanchan Pamnani

George,
Training has been going on for years-ask Nirmita, Dipendra, Prashants,
Pranav, Dinesh and god knows who else. Not to forget Shilpi and her team.
So a lot of staff at NIC have been trained. The secretaries and under
secretaries and joint secretaries all know about the concept. The ministers
too have heard the terms. It just isn't priority andthere is no point in
getting another CCPD order.
India Today is a private organisation and can take its own decisions.
Timesofindia has gone the other way-from accessible to inaccessible.
I guess employment news is from the government or an instrumentality of the
government and therefore you need to think of the big picture.

To my mind, it is clear that the Govt has not quite understood what is meant
by being accessible. So, we need to do more than just going to court and
saying that the Govt websites are inaccessible. Shall we do a conference
call on this and figure out as to what our course of action should be? Who
would like to be on the concall? We can do the call on Tuesday the 5th of
July. Do please write to me off the list regarding the call. I will

I echo Kanchan mam's sentiments. In its current state, CCPD is an
inefficient judicial authority when it comes to implementation of its
orders.

While I am in discussion with I, would anyone have the CCPD order as a
reference point?

@Ajay: definitely that is something I have proposed. But given the
importance of Employment News for everyone, chances of hackers manipulating
the system are high.

Re: [AI] Unable to read E-version of Employment News

2016-06-29 Thread George Abraham
To my mind, it is clear that the Govt has not quite understood what is
meant by being accessible. So, we need to do more than just going to court
and saying that the Govt websites are inaccessible. Shall we do a
conference call on this and figure out as to what our course of action
should be? Who would like to be on the concall? We can do the call on
Tuesday the 5th of July. Do please write to me off the list regarding the
call. I will organise the concall on Sabse bolo!

I echo Kanchan mam's sentiments. In its current state, CCPD is an
inefficient judicial authority when it comes to implementation of its
orders.

While I am in discussion with I, would anyone have the CCPD order as
a reference point?

@Ajay: definitely that is something I have proposed. But given the
importance of Employment News for everyone, chances of hackers
manipulating the system are high.

believes in the inclusive development and has started a new column
"Ability Brings Employment" to provide information on job
opportunities to this important section, of society. A photocopy of
the front cover of the inaugural issue is enclosed. The column has got
a positive feedback.
3. Regarding making the Website of Employment News,
www.employmentnews.gov.in disabled friendly National Informatics
Centre(NlC), an expert organization of Govt of India on information
technology and computer related issues, was consulted. NIC advised
that the following steps can be taken up immediately to make the
websites disabled friendly:

a) To provide flexibility in colour and contrast making content more
clear and suitable.
b) To provide flexibility in font size making text readable and
understandable.
c) To provide "skip to main content" link at the top to bypass banner.
d) Giving caption to photographs to provide themes on each photographs.
e) To create screen reader support websites to provide sound to the
item which is clicked /opened by visitor of the sites.
The above technical improvements have been incorporated in the
Employment News websites(both English and Hindi), to enhance their
suitability for visual impairment and other disabilities. The other
aspects including making of archival matter etc. on websites will be
possible only when the websites are redesigned. The exercise towards
achieving this will be taken up at the time of redesigning of
websites.
