Re: [AI] Inclusive schools in delhi
Dear Ms. Jain, There are many inclusive schools and kids who have passed out. On top of my head, DPS R.K. Puram has many students who have completed their schooling from there. What are you exactly looking at? Admissions? Any educational support? Accessible study material? Any support or guidance you need as parent or relative? Little more details can help us connect you to the right person. Disclosure: I am a corporate lawyer based out of Mumbai, but even then, happy to connect you with right people in Delhi basis your requirement. Feel free to let us know. It means, you are not using a genuin windows on your laptop, so, you need to activate the windows to avoid such message. Jaws is not working properly with your excel application, so, you need to repair Jaws. I think, the problem will be resolved. You can contact me offline related this problem. - Original Message - From: "chandru shekar" To: "accessindia" ; "say everything" ; "Voice Vision." [AI] 11TH CAR RALLY FOR THE BLIND-2018 ORGANISED BY ROTARY BANGALORE ABILITIES
Dear EVERYONE: Rotary Bangalore Abilities is glad to announce 11TH CAR RALLY FOR THE BLIND-2018. The details are: You are on the wheel, but you wait for the PERSON in the passenger seat to tell if you’ve to turn left or right at the junction. Why? Because the person at the passenger seat is blind and he/she will be reading out the route from the Braille map. Quite thrilling, right? This’s all real and will be happening at the 11th Car Rally for the Blind-2018. Date: Sunday, August 5, 2018 Time: 9 am Venue: Vega City Mall, No, 172/1, Srinivas Industrial Estate, Bannerghatta Road, Dollar Layout, BTM Second Stage, Bengaluru-560072. (Opp Jayadeva circle) If you have a car, any car, then register with us by sending a WhatsApp message to: +91 6361668325 . Don’t worry if you don’t know the blind navigator, we will pair you with one. Apart from the fun and excitement, you’ll feel fantastic about working with a blind partner to be a champion in a race. Believe us, no other sporting entertainment can give you the fun and add meaning to a day. The 11th Car Rally for the blind-2018 is Jointly organised by Rotary Bangalore Abilities, 90degree (event manager) and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). This is also a way you support the cause of persons with disability. After all, you would like all children with blindness and other disabilities to be intelligent, bright and cheerful like your navigator! Here’re more details: *Entry fee for the race is Rs 2750 per car. There will be first three prizes in all categories. Want to participate? Please WhatsApp to: +91 6361668325 Send the registration fee to: 90degree, 6422281998 Branch: Indian Bank, Bannerghatta Road Account type: Current IFSC Code: IDIB000B181 (Please mention your name at the comments line so that we could identify you) *The blind is the navigator who gets the route map on the morning of the rally in Braille. Driver will not know the route. *The blind person reads out the route to the driver, who has to follow the instructions from the navigator. This develops good coordination between the driver and the navigator, a sporting and competitive environment to get an understanding of how a blind person functions and his strengths. *Any home car, starting from a Maruthi Suzuki, could be used. *This race is held in Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) format, Which means the instruction from the navigator also contains the speed limits the driver has to maintain. The thrill and excitement of the race is that it’s not entirely dependent on speed. *Anyone with a good driving skill can be a part of the race. *Have a car and want to be a part of the race? We will pair you up with a navigator. *Is this your first time? We’ll put you in the category of the first timers so that you compete truly with your peers. *Women drivers will be paired with women navigators if they prefer and they would compete as a woman’s team category. *Physically challenged people who drive special modified cars are a different category of drivers who could pair up with a blind navigator and be a part of the race. *Rotary rural clubs are a special category by themselves. Hi Arijeet, MacBook is a very good device. Though I haven't used MAC OS at all but would urge you to check VoiceOver's capability to deal with Math content. Re: [AI] handtel device for listening mp3 and Mp4
Unfortunately less expensive ones are not accessible fully. There are few attempts to make one MP3 plaer accessible however, I am not sure about its release in India. If you cannot afford E5, then you could think of approaching Saksham or like minded organisations for subsidy. This device is also being provided under ADIP to those who cannot afford the cost of E5. Else, look for any android smart phone and you will be able to achieve all that you are looking for. This too is available on subsidy if there is affordability problem. Re: [AI] XL Cinema experience
Dear friends We are working on ways to add our earlier content too on XL Cinema to get few more choices to the users. However, Method to get more movies on XL Cinema is to get more users there. We are lobbying hard with the film producers to make AD part of their film production process. . If response to this release is good, then other producers may think positively about it. Adding AD is not automated process and AD track is to be created first by a team of professionals. XL Cinema is a completely new concept and has provided a wonderful solution to making every movie hall usable by us with audio description without adding any cost for the hall owners. If we show our interest in this through actual numbers who used this, then I am certain we can take this further. For example, till now about 20 persons took benefit of AD track of Sanju movie and about 550 tried Sholay. We and several film production companies are keenly observing the response to this initiative to plan for future.
