Re: [AI] Chopping Vegetables
The tether is a small piece of elastic/string which is used internationally to assist the blind persons to participate in races and marathons. One end of the tether is held by the sighted runner and the other end by the blind person. The sighted runner is abel to provide direction to the blind runner without the need for physical contact which is not comfortable while running. The tether can also be used for jogging etc. For creating awareness and to provide more independence to the blind, the tether was distributed by Big Bazaar to all the participants of the Cooking without looking workshop in the seven cities. I agree about the primary schools idea, but I would submit that the solution for noninclusive mainstream schools has to be to push for greater inclusion, not to let them remain unaccountable for not being fully inclusive. At the end of the day, the world in which we operate is also not inclusive in several key ways, so why should children with single disabilities not be equipped with the skills to operate in that world, by being in schools which are a microcosm thereof?
