Re: [AI] Suggestions needed for accessible treadmill

2022-03-05 Thread john clayton
Hi,
When going for a treadmill, make sure that the running surface/ belt is
wide enough for your needs, 20 inches for most people, although 18 can be
good too. the wider the area the better chances that you won't chafe your
thighs whilst running.
I don't think touch screen treadmills will be useable so make sure the one
you are getting has buttons you can push, I at least wouldn't want to rely
upon the app of any sort to control my machine, I.E try and increase
decrease speeds with it whilst running 😂
DC motor treadmills are cheaper but you can't use them for longer than 15
20 minutes without giving it a break. you can however use an AC motor
treadmill for a longer duration without issues, but they do cost an arm and
a leg, too.
I am actually curious as to what stationary bikes are people using here?
sorry at OP for hijacking the topic so but I've heard quite a few mentions
of such and couldn't resist asking.

Dear Friends

If you are thinking for a treadmill for you and your family then powermax
could be a very good product. I bought one a few months ago. You can feel
the buttons and it is very well built. I bought the TAC 15 model.
you must see that the belt where you walk should have extra width for your
safety. Any motor less than 3.5 horsepower would not get you desired
result. you should use other functions and programmes as you progress and
feel comfortable in due course of time. Do not take a DC motor, always go
for an AC motor. If you think that your family members would be using it
then go for semi commercial versions.

If you have any other questions then you can ask.I will be happy to answer.

Nirmal

Re: [AI] Suggestions needed for accessible treadmill

2022-03-05 Thread Divya Sharma
HI Aziz
I am Divya and I love to do cardio and workouts. I feel you should go for a
stationary bike over a treadmill. The stationary bike will work on your
calves, glutes, and thighs. It is even wonderful for losing weight, toning
muscles, strengthening the heart muscles and increasing lung capacity.
However, make sure that you must do minimum of 45 minutes of constant
cycling for good results.

Also, sometimes it has been seen that treadmills cause knee pains for some
people. And their rubber also gets stuck off and on, which is a real
headache. However, both these equipment are good and you have to weigh
them as per your needs. Finally, it would be wise if you get one from a
physical store rather than an online platform.
Cheers
Divya

Re: [AI] hdfc netbanking

2022-03-05 Thread Harshit Lohia
Dear Rahul,
I am using HDFC Bank net banking (https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com) on
Windows 10 with JAWS2018 and JAWS2020. I do not face any difficulty
except on the 'bill payment and recharge' module. If you are facing
difficulty on Google Chrome browser you may try Mozilla Firefox. If it
doesn't works for you, try the undernoted steps:
1) Open Google Chrome
2) Press Insert + V to open quick settings
3) In the search box, type filter
4) Uncheck the "Filter consecutive duplicate links" check box
5) Click 'Ok' to exit the dialogue box.
Also remember that the account number and the home branch will be
reflected in a dialogue box below the "Funds Transfer" heading.
Hope this helps.

Thanks & Regards
Harshit Lohia

RE: [AI] Any efective treatment for retinitis pigmentosa?

2022-03-05 Thread George Abraham
Very well articulated. If the claims were true, many of us would have reversed
our situation in life.

Subject: Re: [AI] Any efective treatment for retinitis pigmentosa?

Hello Mr Rahul,

As of now there is no treatment for RP. We have to live with it. Any claims by
any doctors or institutions claiming that they are treating using
Ayurvedic/homoeopathic methods are all false claims. There is no scientific
evidence to prove these claims. In my opinion these claims are to squeeze money
from people like us taking advantage of our anxiety to get cured.

In my opinion, do not waste your time and money on these treatments. In fact
you can utilise the money save it and effectively use it for purchase of any
assistive technology to empower you to live and lead a dignified life.

I know my comments are very strong and may not sound optimistic. But, this is
the hard reality and we have to manage with this and carry on.

Warm regards,
