Re: [AI] Disability allyship at Union Bank of India

2022-12-23 Thread Ram
Hi,

I wanted to open a saving account with my mother in the Union Bank. My mother
who is a senior citizen, can't accompany me to the bank on health grouns.
Will someone from bank visit my home for completing account opening formalities?
Whom should I contact for this? Can I register a request online or through
phone banking?

When you type in Hindi or Devanagari on the physical keyboard, are you using
a standard QWERTY keyboard with the Devanagari characters assigned to
different keys on that QWERTY keyboard that you just have to figure out and
learn, or are you using a special physical Devanagari keyboard with the
regional settings in Windows configured for that keyboard?

Re: [AI] Accessibility of MF platforms, regds.

2022-12-23 Thread rituraj meena

Kfincart and mycams app are
Fully accessible and they are also registered applications. In these
applications the process of mutual funds is totally paperless in which you
need to enter your Aadhar Card and PAN card and other details manually and
authenticate details through OTP final.

Subject: [AI] Learning Hindi, TTS and Devanagari typing

Dear friends,

As you know I’m just newly in India, and I really wish to learn some Hindi. My
sighted family are able to learn quite quickly because they interact with the
sighted world, and so by various visual queues, reading of subtitles in Hindi
movies and others they have the learning advantage.

I am hoping someone might suggest a way to get me started. Baby steps please.
Also preferably a way to use a Hindi screen-reader which recognizes the
Devanagari script, and suggestions on which Windows-based devanagari keyboard
to choose Etc.

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards,

Yamuna Jivana Dasa

NABK bats for STEM education for blind kids

Speakers at an exhibition hosted by the National Association for the
Blind-Karnataka (NABK) on Sunday spoke about the possibility of blind
children and adults learning and teaching STEM subjects.
NABK had joined forces with Vividha Trust to organise the exhibition called
‘Curious Minds’ to celebrate the curiosity of children with blindness and
special needs. “Curious Minds aims to demonstrate how STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math) can be taught and learnt by the visually
challenged,” NABK’s honorary vice-president Srikant Rao said. Most
educational institutions find it difficult to teach science and mathematics
to visually impaired children. Therefore, these children are at a
disadvantage when they complete their education.” NABK also hosted
workshops for visually challenged children on model making. “It is
satisfying to see visually challenged children actively learn and
participate in the exhibition. It is important for society to encourage
these children and show sensitivity in understanding their requirements,”
said NABK’s Honorary Treasurer Venugopal.

Hello,
Try learning from the below link:
https://www.50languages.com/phrasebook/en/hi/
Also, listen to radio news and other programmes. For instance,
5-minutes in English followed by hindi or vice versa.
If you learn Hindi Braille, you can read some Hindi magazines and
bilingual books.
Regards.

Your question is not clear to me, do you want to learn Hindi or want to
learn to write Hindi because you have talked about keyboard at one place,
if you want to learn to write Hindi, then you can use Windows Standard
keyboard of Hindi। You can use the voice of Neel and lekha voices for Hindi
reading. I don't suggest any other keyboards to everyone because you find
Hindi standard keyboard of windows anywhere but other keyboards maybe not
available anywhere that's why I prefer and suggest to learn Hindi typing on
standard typing keyboard which can be unable in control panel of any
version of windows easily.
