Re: [AI] Any experience at Sanjivan hospital, bombay

2023-04-14 Thread Jaison Bellarmine
Hi friend,
I have heard aboutthe hospital and the treatment. The treatment is
based on acupuncture. The first sitting costs around Rs- 1 lakh and
subsequent sittings costs around Rs- 45K each. Each sitting is around
15 days long and it should be continued once in 6 months for about 2
years. The result is that there is marginal improvement in each
sitting. some has shared their experience as they could regain their
colour vision as well as clarity in seeing object. But at the same
time not much improvement in dim light vision. one of my friend told
me that he had taken acupuncture treatment in 2010 from an institute
in Delhi and after stoping the treatment he gradually lost his
vision. The above mentioned institute in Mumbai checks our vision
before and after each sitting and convince about the changes which the
treatment has brought. But it is yet to know how long the the vision
gain retains.
With regards,
Jaison Bellarmine.

Re: [AI] about RP treatment

2023-04-14 Thread Jaison Bellarmine
Hi friend,
there is a company namely eyestem who develops medicin related to
stemcell therapy for Retinitis Pigmentoza. As far as I know they are
having the successful trial of the medicin in the third phase in
collaboration with some of the leading hospitals across India. I
believe LV Prasad hospital is one of them. If the required number of
patients for the trial is already reached they may not admit more
patients for the trial. from my knowledge the trial is in the 3rd and
last phase and the medicin will be in the market by 2025 or 2026.
"Besides there is stemcell therapy trials ongoing in different
institutes across India. Different institutes use different
technology, and the results also are different. It is up to us to find
which is the best one. I am an RP Patient and have only 1 meter hand
movement identification vision. I had my stem cell therapy for RP day
before yesterday. it will take at least 40-45 days to identify whether
it has any effect on my vision. if there is improvement it is expected
that I will gain 40-60% of vision in 2-3 years time. If you can mail
me in the last week of May or the first week of June I shall let you
know the progress of the treatment with me. I don't get much time to
go through all the mails in the list because of the busy work schedule
I have. That's why i mentioned a time above for the querry about my
treatment experience. If you want you can go through the website of
eyestem to know about the development in the medicin for RP. The
website is
Eyestem https://eyestem.com › retinitis-pigm3 Full stop Research on
AMD and Retinitis Pigmentosa,
hope these clarify your doubts a little bit.
With regards,
Jaison Bellarmine

[AI] experience with dishwasher accessibility

2023-04-14 Thread nidhigoyal219
Dear all

Hope you are having a lovely week. Does anyone have experiences around
dishwasher brands / models that are most accessible. Some brands have only
touch screens, some touch screens with not fully accessible apps, some have
a combination of tactile and touch screens in my research.

Any personal experiences will help.

Appreciate the help and grateful for responses in advance.

Regards

Nidhi

[AI] Pursuing partime degree in law from recognized university

2023-04-14 Thread Pinkesh Tailor
Hi,

as the subject line states, I am willing to initiate a new learning
for myself in law. I am currently on a full time job, and seeking for
a professional part time degree in law. I am holding a masters degree
in Marketing management from Mumbai university, and wish to know
whether Mumbai university or any other recognized institution offer a
valid part time degree in law? Also whether I am eligible to pursue
the same? Whether there is any age restriction to study law. Please
throw some guidance on this

Thanks in advance,

[AI] Accessibility issues in the kotak Mahindra mobile banking app for visually impaired people

2023-04-14 Thread Omkar Pawaskar
Dear Mission Accessibility Team,
My name is Omkar Pawaskar, and I am a visually impaired individual who
holds a bank account in Kotak Mahindra Bank. I am writing to bring to your
attention an accessibility issue that I am facing while using the Kotak
Mahindra mobile banking app with the Google TalkBack screen reader.
Unfortunately, the app is highly inaccessible for visually impaired users
like me. I am not able to press any buttons in the app, including the
account balance button, using the Google TalkBack screen reader. Moreover,
I cannot swipe or navigate left to right or right to left with the Google
TalkBack to move from one button to another. This makes it impossible for
me to use any feature of the app, while sighted individuals can use all its
features without any difficulty.
Additionally, I cannot hold focus on any button to activate it, such as the
profile menu button, making it challenging for me to navigate through the
app. This situation is highly frustrating and limits my access to essential
banking services.
I am writing to your organization because I am aware that Mission
Accessibility works towards making technology accessible for persons with
disabilities. I would request your team to look into this issue and
collaborate with Kotak Mahindra Bank to make the mobile banking app more
accessible for visually impaired customers like me. The app should be
designed to work efficiently with screen readers like Google TalkBack,
providing equal access to its services to all its customers.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email. I hope that you will
consider my request and work towards improving the accessibility of the
Kotak Mahindra mobile banking app for visually impaired customers.
Sincerely,
Omkar Pawaskar
