I always use gmail standard view for all my email communications with NVDA.
I never face any problem. It’s accessible. Many shortcut commands are same

[AI] New updates to Envision glasses

2023-10-28 Thread Saurav Hegde
Hello all,
I came across this video, which is very beneficial for VI individuals in
the future if not today.
Envision has updated their glasses with the amazing chat gpt feature which
gives detailed scene descriptions.
I know there are a lot of nuances, it isn't available in India right now,
net is also an issue but can be worth enjoying to listen.
Also, in-case anyone who is affiliated to companies that are developing
such products in India, can also make use of it.
Enjoy the video!

[AI] Invitation: Awareness Session on Gmail Standard View with JAWS

2023-10-28 Thread Saravanan K
Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. As most of us are using Gmail for
our email communication, we have found the basic HTML view in Gmail to
be incredibly accessible to screen readers. This feature has greatly
facilitated our email management, making the communication process
smoother and more efficient.

However, we want to inform you about an upcoming change: Google plans
to phase out the basic HTML view within the next couple of months. In
light of this development, we are preparing ourselves to transition to
the standard view in Gmail. The good news is that the standard view is
also very accessible, and we can continue managing our emails with
ease.

To assist everyone in adapting to this change, we are organizing an
Awareness Session on Gmail Standard View with JAWS. This session will
take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 7:00 PM. During this
one-hour session, we will focus on using the standard view in Gmail
specifically with JAWS, the popular screen reader software.

Session Details:

Date: Sunday, October 29, 2023
Time: 7:00 PM
Duration: 1 Hour
Session Agenda:

Introduction to Gmail Standard View
Navigation and Features with JAWS
Tips and Tricks for Efficient Email Management
Q Session
This session aims to provide valuable insights and practical knowledge
for JAWS users on Gmail. We are offering this session free of charge
to ensure that everyone can benefit from it. To participate, all you
need to do is enroll using the following link:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfGvuAwQ4vEd9cMB-jdiSa2rq_m8BtPLOJ9VSQ8OQSAMmHBaQ/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please note that there is a nominal enrollment fee of Rs. 50/- for
registration. You can conveniently make the payment through Google Pay
or PhonePe to the following number: 9916512402.

We will send you the session's joining link via email on Sunday around
5:00 PM, enabling you to join the session promptly at 7:00 PM.

Your active participation in this session is highly encouraged. It
will not only enhance your Gmail experience but also empower you to
navigate the digital world more effectively.

Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to seeing you at the session.

Warm regards,

Saravanan K

Re: [AI] Issues With Web Check In on MMT Portal on Windows Laptop

2023-10-28 Thread Harshit Lohia
Hi Avichal,
Thank you for your prompt response. I am sorry for the inconvenience
as my departure time is more than 48 hours away. However, the error
message on the MMT portal did not say anything about the time gap.
Instead it prompted "Please accept declaration to continue". I also
tried to complete web check in on the Indigo portal. It also did not
prompt about the time gap. It prompted "Web check in details entered
by you are incorrect".
A proper and suitable error message could have avoided this
inconvenience and loss of time.

Regards
Harshit
