counter for Medical Certificate & UDID Card, no need for any old
medical certificate just go there they will checkup your eyes and will
give you medical certificate according to your percentage of sight.

Disability certificate number is written on the disability certificate
which is issued to you by any hospital or valid doctor regarding your
disability. This is the disability certificate number that you have to
provide while filling the application. As far as UID card is concerned,
 it
has not been made mandatory by the Government of India yet but it may
become mandatory soon. At present no government guidelines have been
 issued
regarding making it mandatory. Its registered number is also written on
 the
UID card. All types of your documents are linked to this card like
 disability certificate, Aadhar card etc.

[AI] Feedback and areas of improvement for be my eyes

2023-12-17 Thread yatin panchal
Dear Be My Eyes Developer Team,
,
, I am writing to share my experience using the Be My Eyes app over the
past week. I would like to offer my feedback and suggestions, along with
some input from my trusted colleagues.
,
, First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation for the integration
of Be My AI within the Be My Eyes app. This feature has been incredibly
helpful.
,
, To evaluate the accuracy of the image descriptions provided by Be My AI,
I sought the assistance of three individuals who have consistently provided
me with reliable information. Based on their assessments, the accuracy rate
ranged from 89% to 94%, which is very impressive. While there were some
instances where the descriptions were unclear, I understand that this
technology is still under development and I am confident that your
continued efforts will lead to further improvement. I commend your
dedication to making this technology a reality. The detailed descriptions
provided by Be My AI are truly invaluable.
,
, I would like to suggest some features that I believe would make the Be My
Eyes app even more inclusive and user-friendly:
,
, Import images from phone storage and gallery: This would allow visually
impaired users to easily access image descriptions for photos stored on
their devices.
, Share images from other applications: Integrating with other applications
like WhatsApp, Telegram, and other social media platforms would enable
users to share images directly with Be My Eyes for immediate description,
enhancing their ability to engage with content received through these
channels.
, Support for uploading and reading various file formats: Expanding file
format support to include PDFs, DOCX files, TXT files, PPTs, Excel sheets,
and web pages accessed through link integration would further enhance the
app's functionality and provide a more comprehensive solution for visually
impaired users.
, Flashlight toggle: This would be a convenient way to control the app's
flashlight functionality and improve accessibility in low-light
environments.
, Voice guidance for accurate photo description: Providing audio
instructions for capturing optimal images would further assist visually
impaired users in obtaining accurate and detailed descriptions from Be My
AI.
, Dark mode: This would be beneficial for users who prefer a darker
interface, especially when using the app in low-light conditions.
, Screen sharing: This feature would enable users to share their device
screen with volunteers for more detailed assistance and collaboration.
, Camera switching: This would allow users to easily switch between
different camera options, such as the main camera, wide camera, and front
camera, depending on their needs and the context of the situation.
, PC app: This would provide users with an alternative platform to access
the Be My Eyes app, particularly useful for situations where mobile access
is inconvenient or impractical.
, Chat option: This would be helpful for users who are unable to
communicate effectively through voice or prefer to communicate via text,
especially during meetings or in situations where voice communication may
be disruptive.
, Improved voice and camera quality: Ensuring consistent and high-quality
audio and video communication is crucial for a seamless user experience.
,
, I am confident that implementing these suggestions would significantly
enhance the accessibility and usability of the Be My Eyes app for visually
impaired users. I believe that your continued commitment to innovation and
improvement will make Be My Eyes an even more valuable tool for empowering
individuals with vision loss.
,
, Thank you for your time and consideration.
,
, Sincerely,
,
, Yatin Panchal.

Hi! I have a smart cane which I had got from saksham NGO, but it didn’t come in

it’s not used at all. Would you like to buy this cane from me?? I know it’s

Re: [AI] Post for Be My Eyes App improvement

2023-12-17 Thread Ashutosh Singhal
If I email to any App so the App Developer can not get the rough idea of
other users demand on my feedback and if I ask from others users to write
the same feedback to the App Developer so hardly 5 and 6 will write. Now,
My Post is public for every one and it can be viewed in the future also by
any X/Twitter App user now If any user likes and repost my post so Be My
Eyes App Team can know the demand of these features and they will work if
they see many repost and likes on my post as well as if they will think
features are required for their app. Repost and Like are easier for other
Users instead of writing the Email.
About the Instagram issue. I do not use Instagram so I do not have any info
about the issues however I will write the issues on behalf of your
mentioned issues. If you write yourself it will be very good that time you
can explain the issues better than me and according to your convenience of
the time now I can not damn promise in one or two days for Instagram post
because I am a student. I hope you got my points. Thank you.

Re: [AI] Post for Be My Eyes App improvement

2023-12-17 Thread Ashutosh Singhal
When our Screen brightness is high and when we use Be My Eyes AI feature
that time mostly Flash Light automatically work thats why many time our PC
Screen can not capture properly.
Microphone and Camera Off/On feature i requested for Volunteer Call. This
feature is useful for privacy. This feature is already available in AIRA
App. This app also works like Be My Eyes App and it is better as well as
bad in some features. There is no connection of this feature from the Be My
Eyes AI feature. X/Twitter App has very limited characters for free users
so sometimes it is very hard to explain all the points very well but I try
sometimes I am able to do and sometimes not.
I hope I made some sense.

gotta push their tips upwards and they become smaller. I would not
recommend this one because I have heard that it is far more delicate
than the normal canes and hence can be broken easily although if you
want you could keep it as a back up.
The hok-style canes have also been introduced wherein you can change
the tips of the canes very easily because they've a hook which acts
like a stopper when you pull out the tips. Currently, apart from the
pencil tips for such canes, the rolling mushroom tips as well as the
rolling ball tips have been introduced which as their name suggests,
roll on the surface unlike the pencil tips. The former work good on
plane surfaces as well as on roads where there aren't large-sized
cracks and the latter would pritty much work on any surface, but the
downside with them is that they're pritty heavy and larger than the
rolling mushroom tips.
I am not sure whether the telescopic canes have been introduced here
in India yet, although I did see a demo in the Blind2Visionary's stall
at a place where I had gone some time back. So, finally, these canes
and tips, as I hinted earlier, have been introduced here by
Blind2Visionary Trust; if you want to get in contact with them, I have
provided the details below.

Re: [AI] UDID related questions

2023-12-17 Thread harish kotian

Hi Yd

A few things that Minar has missed:

To obtain a proper disability certificate, you need to get one from a
government civil hospital.

Usually a particular day

in a week is allotted for it, you need to find it before hand before
you make a visit.

While seeking for a disability certificate, also mention you need UDID
card and optionally railway concession.

Preferably be there before 9 am.

UDID is evolving and it is designed to be a single point of
authentication disability. It is linked to Adhar. It is supposed to be a
single point of availing disability services. Disability services is
essentially driven by states and services are yet to be built around
UDID. Surely, it will happen over time.

Hi friends,
A few questions if y'all don't mind:

1. I've been hearing about two things: UDID, and disability certificate. From
the context of discussions it appears they are not the same thing. In that case:
1.1. Why two separate documents are necessary to prove disability?
1.2. Which of the two is most important?
1.3. Can you get one without the other?

2. Now that I have Aadhaar card, what is my next most important step towards
legal recognition of disability and inclusion in India? What is the procedure
to follow that step?
3. From former discussions here it appears the whole country is not on the same
page as central Government, so that some states rebel from Central Government
regulation. For example there was talk of West Bengal not accepting UDID
procedure or some sort. I'm in Mathura Vrindavana. Is there any
location-specific context I should be aware of here?

Thanks friends.

Hi Rahul and all on this thread,

I have drafted a letter to the bank official here at ICICI which I
plan to send. First I would appreciate if you could look through the
letter to see if it makes sense in the context of legal or
professional style letters in the Indian context. Don’t be confused
about my name: I used my legal birth documents name in the letter.
Also please see if the translation into Hindi which follows after the
English, makes sense – the translation was done by Google translate.

Any suggestions to change please feel free to let me know. The letter
is below. Thanks.

Please note for your convenience this letter is translated to Hindi
script after the English below, using Google Translate.

This is Yoganathan Khandoo, your NRI account holder blind customer
formerly from South Africa. I opened my account along with my wife
Sherry Ann Khandoo. I trust you are well.

close my NRI account and convert to local account. I also now have
acquired Aadhaar card to facilitate this process.

Before doing this, I wish to clarify that for my local account I wish
to use my own fingerprint to sign all account opening documents.
Previously when we opened my NRI account it was suggested by you that
my wife must sign all my documents. I have since learnt that as per
RBI guidelines, people who cannot use pen signatures such as the
blind, illit

Re: [AI] getting a new Cain

2023-12-17 Thread anirudh rao
hi Austin,
The vibrating canes are not worth buying in the context of Indian roads
where there are so many things are all at once at least in my opinion.
it uses echo-location to detect the objects nearby and as there are many
vehicles standing and the people and what not on our roads, it continuously
vibrates and confuses travelers.
