Blind persons have excelled in CS even in IIT's. Blind folks who studied 
in India have made big in IT domain. There are so many examples and 
presently it is no more novel. You have been on this list for quite some 
time and this would have given enough time to plan your study path.


It is not time to find faults, rather you can take help of organizations 
like XRCVC to salvage the situation.

[AI] Using a smart phone to comfortably read documents

Hi friends,

I'm anticipating a time shortly that I will not have access to a computer.
We are moving into a rented home for some months until we renovate our newly
purchased home.

During that time I won't have access to my computer but would like to still
read scripture and other texts, including my E-mails.

Normally using Jaws/NVDA and the QWERTY Keyboard, I read documents by line,
using down-arrow to read, and things like home, end, control-arrows by word
to carefully navigate through difficult passages Etc.

Contrarily, on the phone, I find it awkward to read by swiping to reading
modes using Talkback's granularity settings then reading by swiping. One
slightly wrong swipe and it navigates away from the current line in the
text. Therefore I've never moved over to using a phone for such tasks as
reading.

How are you all doing it? I've never used the function but from the Talkback
documentation it appears we can connect a keyboard to the phone and navigate
text similar to how we do it in Windows. Since I've never had a physical
keyboard for the phone I've never had a chance to play around with it, so I
simply don't know. But it does appear Talkback may have lots of commands for
navigating text, would that be true?

You make a poor sweeping statement in your subject line. Please be 
mindful, you are on a public space and such loose statement could hurt

From what I gather, you have not done enough preparation to start with
