System which has an accessible interface or can be operated by screen reader
by directly attaching the DVR to a computer or through web interface.

hi,
yes you have to use the numpad. It is not convenient in laptop with
compact keypad. In this case, use the shortcut method. For this use
auto correct option.

For any symbol/signs; There is one quick approach.
Remember the code number of the particular symbol/sign and type alt+0
and the code number of the character.
Another way is to assign a shortcut key stroke for each frequently
encountering characters.

Or how can we do maths typing in word? Please help me in these issues.

Hi,
I also work in Espeak.
You said that you your self can judge whether you are working in Hindi
or Bengali or English.
This is not a fault of Espeak or screen reader.
If you set the voice name as Bengali and type Hindi; you yourself are
misinforming the screen reader. To set a voice means declaring that I
am/will work in this language. Why to set one voice and work another
one.
It is a lie declaration!
The announcement of the language is only while typing a text or
navigation of the character.
In a plain reading it is not announcing the language of the text.
Hence no question of disturbance.
It is not annoying you but is serving its duty with loyalty that it is
reminding you that your default voice is different and working in
another language.

In case of your voice is in Bengali and the working language is also
Bengali; you can say why to inform me?
But if you are setting one language and working another one; it is
your weakness.
Think globally, not locally. A developer never thinks that the user
may handle his/her system wrongly and have an address for individual
working manner.
If yu want to drive in a road, you have to drive the vehicle as the
road is built.

Hi,
The auto language detection characteristics is not from nvda but it
is from Espeak.
Nvda does no thing on TTs.
In brief you must understand that the selected voice and working
language must be the same.
Do not think that two or three language, espeak supports more than
seventy languages.

On 5/16/14, Bhavya shah wrote:

Dear Him Prasad Gautam Sir,
I feel that NVDA developers should incorporate an option by which a
user can allow ESpeak to have no default language or can speak
everything without mentioning the language.
The user might have a document with two or more languages where he can
distinguish between the two languages himself.
Please inform me your views about this.

On 5/16/14, Him Prasad Gautam wrote:

Hi,
there is a provision of auto language switch in nvda.
Based on the letter, the default nvda synthesizer automatically
detects the language. But if your voice is different than the
language

of use, it informs you that this letters belongs to this particular
language.
Take an example,
For example; if you type a bengali ka while your voice is Hindi.

If nvda will say it is a Bengali ka, you will know what exactly the
letter is. If it will not say Bengali ka, how will you know whether
it is a Hindi ka or Bengali ka?
In brief, the nvda voice and the typing language must be the same.
If different, it will inform you that the typing letter language
belongs to the other language.
nvda assumes that you use that language which is set voice.
Setting a voice and working in other language is not consider a
proper

way.
Change the voice to the regional language of India in which you work.

should be notted that it was not in 2012.

Re: [AI] Looking for Hindi and Punjabi translators for eSpeak forAndroid.

2013-08-12 Thread Maheshinder Singh Khosla

Dear Mahesh,

What I could understand from your mail is that the developer is trying to
either develop TTS for Hindi and Punjabi language for Android Operating
System or he wants to translate Android Operating System for Hindi and
Punjabi languages.
For both Hindi and Punjabi language support in E-speak is available for the
past 5-6 years. I myself had worked on the Punjabi language and therefore it
is not required to add Punjabi and Hindi in E-speak for Android Operating
System separately.
For Windows and Linux Operating System E-speak is available though I have
not used E-speak on Android Operating System but as far as I know it is also
compiled for Android as well. So it is not required to work on it again.
For that reason I feel the developer wants to translate the Android
Operating System in these languages so that it can be used by the sighted
and also by the Visually Challenged People with the help of E-speak.
If I am able to understand correctly then I would like to contribute in
making the translation of the Operating System in Punjabi. In that case let
me know the contact no. of the developer so I can get in touch with him.

Hi Raju
Go to control panel > system and security > power options > change
when the computer sleeps and in the combo box under " put the computer
to sleep " change it to never. Do the same for on battery and on
plugged in
Guess this should help

Subject: [AI] Any GoldWave experts here?

Hi all,

I receive audio files from time to time which are recorded on a single
channel. I would like to convert these files into double-channel files, so
that they can be heard on both sides of the headphone. Is it possible to
do

this using GoldWave? If so, could someone please list out the procedure? I
use GoldWave 5.1.

Many thanks.
Geetha
