) to report
certain critical information as part of their business responsibility.

A new Clause 55 has been inserted to read as under:

Listed entities shall submit, as part of their Annual Reports, Business
Responsibility Reports, describing the initiatives taken by them from an
environmental, social and governance perspective, in the format suggested in
the circular

This includes

a.. How much the company is spending on CSR as a percentage of its net
profit,
b.. The number of stakeholders' complaints received and resolved,
c.. Details of any pending case filed by stakeholder against any unfair trade
practice, irresponsible advertising or anti-competitive behavior adopted by the
company.
This will enable the shareholders to have a better understanding of the manner
in which their companies' function and adopt responsible business practices.

The circular exhorts the companies to follow the national voluntary guidelines
on social, environmental and economic responsibility that have been formulated
by Ministry of Corporate Affairs in July 2011.

Conclusion: This is the first year of CSR implementation by Companies under the
Act. The likely amount of CSR expenditure for the year 2014-15 would be known
only after the Annual Financial Statements are filed by Companies due after
September, 2015.

Dear Dr. Dengla ,

I have a good news for you. It seems that I have seen a free hindi OCR working
. at least on my laptop it is working.
here is what you have to do.
1. download tesseract OCR from here and install it
2. download another OCR software from here ,it provides the user interface to
the tesseract and it seems that it is accessible.
3. download the hindi trained data from here
4. open the freeOCR software and go to settings menu and then go to open
language folder and paste the hindi trained data in the language folder.

5. you are now done, just open freeOCR software and change the recognition
language. you may need the sighted help at this point as I am not sure you will
be able to change it by yourself.

6. open any hindi sanned image and do the ocr and save it. you should be able
to read it using your screen reader.

with lots of wishes to you all.

earmarked and simultaneously filled up from open recruitment process,'' said
the division bench of Justice Devi Prasad Singh and Justice V K Dixit.

The court directed the state government to identify the backlog vacancies for
such categories within two months and thereafter, fill them up in the next one
month. It directed principal secretary, personnel department, Kunwar Fateh
Bahadur and principal secretary, Viklang Kalyan, R P Singh, who were present in
the court, to file personal affidavit indicating action taken by the state
government. It directed the government to issue a circular in this regard
within one week.

The judges cautioned the state government that non-compliance of the order
shall amount to contempt of the court and it may proceed suo moto against those
who will be at fault in not filling vacancies for blind and disabled persons
under the Act. It directed chief standing counsel Devendra Upadhyaya to
communicate the order to the chief secretary for forthwith compliance.

The order came on a writ petition filed by National Federation of the Blind.
Its lawyer, S K Rongta, argued before the court that it was mandatory for the
state government to fill the quota meant for blind and disabled. According to
him, there is 3 per cent quota in the appointments in the state government for
disabled. One per cent quota is available to blind persons. About 2,000
vacancies are to be filled up for blind quota.

The court directed the state to ensure that not only the quota of blind but
also the quota of other categories under the Act is filled up within three
months. The court has fixed March 3, 2011 as the next date of hearing, when the
state government will have to submit action taken report.
