You make some good points. He has not been working for the past 14 years
neither public nor private!

Subject: Re: [AI] Bank related query!

Dear George Sir,

I feel one must take up this issue for the following reasons. But
there are some gray areas also.

1. PNB issued the joining letter and then they cannot refuse.
2. Is it a written rule that only 10th pass can get a job of a peon?
Technically speaking, when his graduation didn't yield him any job for
the last 14 years, then isn't his fundamental right to get a job?

But one must try to know that, was he working in the last X years? If
he was earning his livelyhood, then it would be a difficult
proposition.

In the last 14 years didn't he try for a job in private sector ? If
no, what was the reason for not trying for a job in the private
sector? If he got one, then why did he leave it?

The legal professionals of the list can shed more light on it.

Re: [AI] Bank related query!

2016-05-13 Thread Richard Macwan
There is no possibility for taking this matter up with PNB. We at UBI
Ahmedabad also recruited peons for which education qualification was 10th
pass. 12th pass and graduates were not allowed to appear in interview. 18
candidates were selected for the job. Two candidates from these 18 were
denied a job as they were 12th pass. This was found during document
verification process while completing joining formalities. However,
document varification was also done at the time of interview, but that time
these 2 candidates did not show the certificates beyond 10th and claimed to
be 10 th pass only.

[AI] Bank related query!

2016-05-13 Thread George Abraham
Hi All,

There is a person who is blind. He is a graduate He has been looking for a
job for the last 14 years. PNB had sent him a joining letter for a peon's
position. But when they realised that he was a graduate, they refused to
entertain him. They say they will only appoint persons who are 10th pass.
Is there any point in taking this matter up with PNB?
