Hello,
In task manager check for the process consuming most of the CPU and then
try ending the task, in my case it is the NMIndexStoreService.exe, then from
MS Config window, disable the service.
Hope that helps
Let me know if you need detailed steps

Subject: [AI] Delay in speech of Jaws while any key is pressed on
TVSKEYBOARD connected using ps2 connector.

All:
I am using TVS keyboard with my laptop using ps2 connector.
Whenever I press any key, I find delay by Jaws in speaking that letter.
Previously when I was using this Jaws 11 on xp I did not encounter any such
issue. I don't remember release number of Jaws but I was using it in
november 2009.
I have checked keyboard properties, all speeds are set to 100%. This issue
needs to be resolved at an earliest.
Keyboard is working fine, only there is speech delay.
Will be obliged to you for help.
Regards
Amar Jain.

hi amar, might be some of the waste processes are consuming most of
the C.P.U resources try checking them from MSCONFIG and try to
disable them.

try to reduce the applications in startup tab also there and uncheck
the applications which are not required in startup.

De frag your hard drive from the tools in the properties of each drive:

try and checkout for errors on the hard drive which might also be a
reason for slowdown in jaws response.

Can you let me know whether other screen readers are working fine on
the same P.C like NVDA?

I feel it is not a keyboard problem but a problem with lack of
sufficient memory resources.
