Yes, it happens because of an additional helpful feature from ms office/ ms windows. I don't remember the setting I had changed to stop this issue, I would right now say that after pasting text avoid using 'ctrl key' for a few minutes you may use JAWS key or any modifier key. I will reply if I remember the solution I found to resolve this.
