Sanjay,
For your other questions with regards to adding CC etc., with multiple
recipients, suggest trying with "enter" key after writing an email address.
Apps like GMail etc., will require you to use enter key to insert email
address and then you can type another email address too.

Re: [AI] Usage of NIC emails for communication by Central Government employees

2024-02-22 Thread Prashant Naik
Hi Sanjay

I understand the challenge with the 30 second time gap in code changes with
screen reader gesture navigation in reading the code. Yes it needs to be
increased to 60 seconds.

Here I wish to share an accessibility solution with you that at Union Bank
of India we have developed in the case of such a code generation app.

Union Bank of India has a mobile app U-Token as an alternative to OTP
received through SMS. Customer can generate a token number through U-Token
App and use that token number to authorize the internet banking transaction
instead of SMS OTP. The code changes every 60 seconds.

As part of accessibility program Union Access, we have enhanced key
accessibility features in the U-Token App making it fully navigable and
operable with screen reader on both android and IOS platforms.

The significant feature we introduced is that after logging the code
generated is informed to screen reader user without navigating and focusing
on the code in the app. The changed code after 60 seconds is also informed
to the screen reader user automatically when focus is on the code generated
page. The time remaining i.e. 60 second counter is also informed properly
with added narration for screen reader users. So the navigation with
gesture is avoided for U token app for the hands free operation on PC /
laptop,

Such innovative accessibility enhancements may be added to the Kavach app.
Feel free to connect to know more about.

Thanks and regards,

Prashant Naik

[AI] Usage of NIC emails for communication by Central Government employees

2024-02-21 Thread Sanjay Prasad
As a Central Government employee, frequently, we have to use NIC id
for communications. After entering password, we have to append a 6
digit code which is generated by Kavach App which I have installed in
my mobile. This code changes every 30 seconds. Some of the VI
persons may find it difficult to swipe for code, listen and enter the
same in computer. This I can manage. But, I believe this duration
should be extended to 60 seconds.
Coming to my problem, I can send email to one person. But when I have
to send to multiple persons using cc and bcc, AFTER PRESSING SEND
BUTTON, jaws and NVDA DISPLAYS ERRORS. I tried with different
options--separating by comas and semicolons with and without space but
could not succeed in sending mails to multiple IDs.
If anyone in this group is using NIC email services with Kavach,
please guide me. Otherwise, we must take up this issue with them.
thanks.
