Not sure if this issue is resolved yet. But I figured out a way to fix it. Once you open the Gmail and obviously it would open in Standard view. Go to the address bar and delete "#inbox" and then type "h/lw1ekynym8/?&" instead and press enter. The Gmail would now open in Basic html view, but unfortunately this isn't a default option, however it is handy when you don't find the Basic html option on the page. Hope it helps. Friend, by pressing shift+tab you come to top of the standard view of your mail there at the top you will find basic HTML view, once basic HTML view is done then press tab and come to link set BASIC HTML as your default view there you press enter then basic HTML will become your default view in gmail.
