From today morning onwards ,I’m facing a weird problem in jaws,usually
when I start my PC  ,I can hear  jaws for windows,but today I didn’t
hear any such  voice.

[AI] problem in jaws

I am facing a strange problem in jaws dongle. Despite the fact, the 
dongle is inserted in USB Port; jaws runs in demo mode for 40 minutes.
Interestingly, when I go to dongle viewer to run the file sent by 
freedom scientific, message appears that: Dongle Authorization


There are no options enabled.
Please guide me that what should I do to get rid of this problem? ---

Better uninstall and reinstall jaws. Or there's an option for update
authorization. Insert your dongle and hit that update authorization.

Have you supplied the administrator permission to the program if you
are not the admin of computer? also,  why not turn down the uac to
zero might be possible it is due to this reason. not sure though .

As earlier on the 32 bit computer which I was using, I never faced
such a problem.

reads that way no issues but to my irony it is jumping back to the
first mail selected. further when in say all mode in any web page the
focus jumping to first paragraph and jaws is reading the first

I too experience the same when using quick keys. The labels for check boxes

[AI] problem of jaws skript in goldwave.

hellow list members.
I am facing problem in jaws skripts in gold wave.
I am using gold wave 5.25, and jaws 11.147.
previously, I was using jaws 11.756, but before 2 days only I have upgraded my 
jaws. now, I have instaulled jaws skripts in gold wave, but skripts are not 
working in gold wave.
and one more thing that when I exit the gold wave by pressing alt+f4, it speaks 
that unknown skripts call to, exit gold wave, then it tells the spelling of 
exit, e x i t. so, for exit, I have to press alt key and then in the file 
menue, I use to exit it.
so, please help me about this.

i have just upgraded to jaws 12 latest build i use windows7 ultimate
but when i start jaws 12 i get an error failed to create empty
document i have tried to reinstall jaws but no use of it the error

hi all a strange problem hapend all was ok till yesterday but when i
started my computer today as jaws starts i get an error freedom
scientific mearor display driver not installed properly please reboot
your computer or run a jaws repare i tried boath but no effect while
repairing i was prompted if i want to remove user settings or no i
selected no is it ok? how to solve the problem and 2nd question is in
the windows disk defragmenter jaws doesnt read progress bar how to
solve it is there any good accessable disk defragmentting software?

Hi,

What operating system is your computer running? I have had this issue happen
to me recently. The problem in my case was me trying to install an out dated
version of jaws. You say that you have tried installing jaws 11. Which
version of jaws 11? if it is 11.0.1461, then call FS tech support. You may
have a display driver chaining issue which is not easy to troubleshoot. What
video card is your computer using?

turn on the JAWS cursor, and press insert+r. it should be on the application 
window restriction.


maximise the window to work properly with JAWS.

change the view from ICON to Details.

How you use JAWS cursor to read further information? turn on the JAWS 
cursor. make sure that JAWS cursor is located on the location on pc cursor. 
to do this, turn on the JAWS cursor. press insert+numpad -. after that, 
press page down to locate the JAWS cursor on the title bar. and try to read.

I use to face similar problems in Jaws 10. please suggest any way to fix the
problem.

setting by going to control pannal, it should be from 800 pixal to 1024

popular applications, press right arrow to open it, press down arrow to go 
to microsoft, press right arrow to open it. press i for internet explorer.

Friends,

I am using JAWS 10.  Nowadays, I have been facing some problem while
working on computer with JAWS.
1.  When insert a is using for reading address bar in internet
explorer, it reads only address bar instead of address.
2.  While trying to read the address by using arrow keys, it tells only 
space.
3.  In excel, when backspace uses for erasing letter, it reads out space.
4.  While saving any files, it doesn’t read out the file name.  It
tells only space.
5.  When I edit the name of file or folder, the letters are not read by 
JAWS.
6.  In MS word also, items in menu and submenus, JAWS is not working.

There may be another problem like this; but couldn’t find so far.
What changes I need to make in JAWS settings to solve this problem?
Your valuable guidance/assistance in this regard would be of great
help to me.  Looking forward to hear from you.

[AI] Problem with JAWS 10

I am facing a strange problem while using JAWS. JAWS does not speak
the status information and remains silent when i press JawsKey plus
PagedownKey. Also when the JAWS or the invisible cursors are used for
navigation, JAWS just say blank.
Recently I formatted my system. The OS is XP SP3 and I'm using JAWS 10.
Do throw some light on this.

[AI] Problem with Jaws while using windows Live mail.

Dear All,
Got my new laptop, Sony vaio vpccw1BGN with 2.53 GHZ processor, 2 GB DDR3 
SDRam, Windows 7 64 bit Pro. Looking for availability of 4 GB ddr3 so that I 
can upgrade to 8 GB. Previously my sony showroom's engineer told that it has 
three slots, but it has two only. Surprisingly, they have written into 
catalogue upgradeable to 8 gb, and then in brackets 'into 3'. What does this 
mean?
I found windows 7 a good OS, but only there are some problems in using windows 
live mail.
1. When we keep arrow on any message, it first speaks all information like 
date, received and so on and at the end it says the subject.
I want my subject to be red first.
2. It does not speak like 'unread', 'attachment', etc.
I googled, and found on one list, that we need to label some graphics. I have 
never used this feature of Jaws.
I think some ctrl+insert+g or something does this job.
3. When I press enter on some message, first it goes well, then it 
automatically takes me to subject read only edit box. Then again I have to 
press tab or shift tab depending on my mood to go to message box.
4. Sometimes, it creates problem in reading full line. Specially subject box. 
Sometimes it also does not reach to the end letter. then I press control right 
arrow and after few strokes it goes well.
I know that our cursor should be at the end of the line to read the last letter 
but it is not happening in this case. Though my curser is at the end.
These are some of the problems, which I am facing as of now.
But please if I have left any problem, then suggest me solution for those also.

[AI] Problem in Jaws 9.0.2169 -- Nonexecution of video interseptor

Dear sir/madam,
Recently I have formatted my computer and installed Jaws 9.0.2169. But at the 
time of booting of my system, a dilogue box appears like that:

execute video interseptor and restart your system radio button check

As I click on execute button, a general error occurs and it does not executed. 
On account of the same, I am not able to access:

--Access insert + page down
--Insert + page up
--If jaws cursor is activated, it does not read anything at all.

Please anyone guide me properly to solve this problem.

hi, re-install video drivers. dont use the drivers which XP configures
automatically. use your mother board drivers provided by manufacturer.

solved for me when upgraded to the new version of jaws and firefox

1. turn of users account. you can find it by hitting windos r then type 
msconfig and press enter. then go to tools and turn it of from there.

2. after installing jaws 10 set it not to start up with the computer.
3. go to program files then open freedom scientific and look for the jaws 
folder. open it and look for the jaws 10 directory and open it. there paste 
your 2 crack flies. it will tell you that you ulready have files with these 
name tell the computer to replace them.
4. then go to activation folder in freedom scientific and delete the 101 
file inside there.
5. then open jaws again and reset it to start up with your computer. hope 
this will help.

The above version of JAWS installed with Office XP Professional works fine with 
other applications except with MS Outlook's some portions.  Once the mail has 
been opened or for that sake a new mail is being composed, it reads everything. 
 It just would not read the lists/item heads reaching my mailbox, in short, it 
won't read neither the subject, sender or anything else for that matter.  
Besides 'route JAWS TO PC'/JAWS cursor will always say blank just as in case of 
reading mail listings too which it seems it does not recognise any text visible 
to others.  It could be JAWS's problem or of MS outlook, ur help will be 
appreciated.

1. Open the desired application, for which you want to set Jaws options; for 
example, Microsoft word or Internet Explorer.
2. Run Jaws Manager window by pressing insert+ f2.
3. Press letter C, then hit Enter. Now you are in Jaws Configuration 
Manager.
4. Press Alt, then right arrow. Here, you can set options for current 
application.

[AI] problem with jaws 8 and IE

ok. i'm facing a weird problem. i tried to install AVG 8 professional
on my computer, although due to some error it showed up i had to
uninstall it. strangely  after that my jaws 8 has been behaving very
irratic in IE. it doesnt show up the links list, or the headings
list,and forms mode is a problem.it just says no links found, or no
heading found even when the page is completely loaded. i tried re
installing, repairing multiple times, but with no luck. it seems to be
working fine in other programmes. i have jaws 7 on the same machine
which is working perfectly.
does anybody have a clue as to what is happening??
any help would be appreciated.

 ok. i'm facing a weird problem. i tried to install AVG 8 professional
 on my computer, although due to some error it showed up i had to
 uninstall it. strangely  after that my jaws 8 has been behaving very
 irratic in IE. it doesnt show up the links list, or the headings
 list,and forms mode is a problem.it just says no links found, or no
 heading found even when the page is completely loaded. i tried re
 installing, repairing multiple times, but with no luck. it seems to be
 working fine in other programmes. i have jaws 7 on the same machine
 which is working perfectly.
 does anybody have a clue as to what is happening??
 any help would be appreciated.

might be the problem?

Sorry for crossposting but I am having a queer problem.  Sometimes as I am busy 
working with JAWS it starts continous speech like r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r- and 
continues till I shut the machine or it automatically restarts.  I have Acer 
with realtech soundcard and genuine windows and office.  Please help.Thank you.

What version of jaws are you using?

I suspect this issue could be related to your sound card.  Try upgrading the
soundcard drivers.  If that fails, either change your laptop or, get an
external USB soundcard.

I too had the same problem, but rarely.
Try using disc clean up and defragmenting your computer. Make sure you 
delete all your temporary internet and local files, I dont mean delete your 
other files any where but a file like abc.tmp
Once you defragment see whether it works fine.

[AI] Problem with JAWS Num Lock gets Off

I am having one problem with JAWS 7.10. My Num Lock gets off as soon as 
JAWS is started. Then I have to explicitly switch it on. Please guide me. 
What's wrong with my system and how can fix it?
