 Dear friends,
I faced another problem in Bangalore railway division office. my
 permanent
address is in the Hassan district which belong to mysore division.
 but,
 I
am working in Tumkur which belong to and is very near to bangalore
division. when I approached the office through my friend, they told
 that
 I
have to get the card from Mysore division. in the circular of the
 railway
board dated 18-3-2015, there is no such condition. in the first para
 of
 the
procedure, it is said to approach the nearest division office. but,
 they
 are refusing the application.
what can be done for this?
I got my concession certificate done in bangalore. if I go to Mysore,
 my
certificate will be refused as per the above circular as it is got
 from
 the
place outside the jurisdiction of Mysore division.

 1. I did not say the id card. I said certificate. concession
certificate can be issued by doctor/medical practitioner/institution.
NFB is one among such institutions.
 2. as per the circular dated 18th march, the division office has to
cancel the certificate while issueing the card by affixing a seal.
since they cannot put seal on a laminated certificate, they are asking
for an unlaminated one. we cannot dispute that given the circular of

 1. I did not say the id card. I said certificate. concession
certificate can be issued by doctor/medical practitioner/institution.
NFB is one among such institutions.
 2. as per the circular dated 18th march, the division office has to
cancel the certificate while issueing the card by affixing a seal.
since they cannot put seal on a laminated certificate, they are asking
for an unlaminated one. we cannot dispute that given the circular of
 the railway board.

when I approached the office through my friend, they told that I have to get

the card from Mysore division. in the circular of the railway board dated

what can be done for this?

Re: [AI] query regarding indian railways ID card

2015-06-30 Thread Aaruni Sharma
Hello all, actually our NGO pursued this matter vigorously and practically
sat on the head of the concerned officials. If the railways people strictly
go by procedure, things will take very long. because the verrification
process involves too many steps and unless some official takes personal
interest, the whole thing is bound to take a lot of time . so the various
organisations need to take this matter at the regional lavel and sensitise
the concerned officials, and find ways to cut the red tape. Another
important thing is that the cards are issued on the basis of the concession
form that we submit. so the validity of the crd depends on the dates
mentioned on the form. So we should always submit latest concession
certificates.

2015-06-30 Thread vivek doddamani
Friend Ajit, I was very hurry to catch train to shimoga from Bangalore
just 30 minutes were left so I could not argue with the ticket
counter woman, regarding ID card I know few people in Delhi have
received this card one person name is Sunil Kumar Mahanto living in
north campus of Delhi University also Rakesh Kumar Shukla working in
Directorate of Education his land line number is 011 23813779 I
enquired them about the usage of card they both replied still they
have not booked ticket by using ID card, sunil kumar told me that with
ID card we cannot book ticket without escort even for blind compulsory
escort is necessary while booking ticket through ID card online.

someone got such cards. but noone is coming with the exact situation
by mentioning the name of the person and their unique id number
provided by the railway. so it's rightly said that everywhere
situation is not so ggrim !
hats of to the railway administration and it's supporting network!

Subject: Re: [AI] query regarding indian railways ID card

 hello,
The move of issuing the identity card to the physically challenged
persons to book the concessional ticket seems to be only to predict
the deem implementation of court order at their end. In my zone,
official dealing with this task are well aware of the procedure laid
down in the railway circular to issue the identity card. As per their
information, they are only advised to accept the apllications and
verify the documents. Actual process of allotting the unique identity
number to be printed on the card has not been started by the head
quarter of railway. From the developments so fartaken place by the
railway in this regard, it seems that there is only way out to file
the contempt case or to seek the reply from the railway through RTI
 query.
 Thanks,

Re: [AI] query regarding indian railways ID card

2015-06-04 Thread Neelima Surve
Today, we went at CST Mumbai to submit our written application, with
our identy proofs, they also asked us to come after 2 months. They
will not going to inform us, we have to go at there to ask them,
whether our I cards are ready or not.

Yes! they didn't gave us any receipt, but, gave acknowledgement on
the photo copy of our application.

Unfortunetly , the funny thing is, In Maharashtra, city Pune, people
doesn't know anything about it, When we spoke with them, (Drm, DCM
office) they simply said, It has been implemented in Delhi only, ,
not in any other cities.

Friends, My question is, how many cities, or states are there, which
are not going to implement this, or which don't even know, that they
should implement this scheme?

Neelima
