Re: [AI] requesting for urgent help with teamviewer

2022-02-06 Thread MAYANK SHARMA
Hi,

to use the OCR feature you can press NVDA + r. You can make sure the window
is maximized by pressing windows key + up arrow, and as Nishant said do
make sure your screen curtain is not turned on.

Hope that helps

Kind regards

Mayank

Hi, Thank you for your suggestion, I'm relatively new to NVDA, and
have never explored the OCR option. I'd be grateful if you would
suggest the step-by-step keystrokes.
Thank you,

Re: [AI] requesting for urgent help with teamviewer

2022-02-06 Thread john clayton
Hi,
I am actually quite surprised that no one else has suggested doing this.
Last I used anydesk, all I needed to do was to OCR the screen using nvda
and I was able to access the code just fine. you need to be using NVDA,
windows 10 for this to work, though. also insure your screen shade is
disabled before you use the OCR.
So give that a go, and you could do the same with teamviewer ( don't
install it but run it instead when the setup asks you to) run the OCR on
the teamviewer screen when it first pops up, arrow down and read out your
user ID and password to the person helping you.
you can also take sighted help to read out the code by using an app like
be my eyes and similar.
Do let us know how you get on,
best

When I reinstalled the previous version, the person on the other side
cannot connect to my PC, simply because it is an older version.
I request anyone who uses teamviewer regularly to please help/ advice,
as I need to use it really urgently.
Grateful for any leads on whom to write to as well, in order to fix
the problem. Because I've been using teamviewer for years, and have
 never faced this issue before.
 Thanks,
 Shireen.

Re: [AI] requesting for urgent help with teamviewer

2022-02-03 Thread Shireen Irani
Thank you all for your suggestions and kind help, I don't use jaws. So
I think I'll first try quickassist, and then google hangout if my
problem still persists. If anyone knows how to access the password
with NVDA on anydesk, I'd be grateful if you'd let me know.
The person on the other side is a sighted user, so remote NVDA won't
serve the purpose.
Thanks.
Shireen.

sure maybe we can connect and talk about this more. as Amar said using
Jaws cursor to read the numeric information which needs to be provided
to the other person is one way which you can use anydesk. quick assist
is much more accessible and it is a default windows feature. you can
try NVDA remote addon and if you are a jaws user you can try jaws
tandem as well. these are the some alternatives which I can provide
apart from using TeamViewer which is found to be inaccessible with
screen readers.
Thank you

2022-02-03 Thread Amar Jain
Shireen-I confirm that Team Viewer's latest version is inaccessible at
the moment. Due to non-disclosure obligations, cannot explain much here.

For Any Desk, I typically use Jaws cursor to read the numeric
information which needs to be provided to the other person.

Let me know if you need more information-happy to connect on call /
whats app.

Amar Jain

Hello is there any reason to use only TeamViewer? If you wish to take
access of someone’s PC or to access your PC There are other
applications which are accessible with screen readers. Some of them
could be anydesk and quick assist. You can take the access of other
person’s PC, or someone can access your PC with greater ease. Hope
this helps to solve your query
Thank you. Sivasuresh

[AI] requesting for urgent help with teamviewer

2022-02-03 Thread Shireen Irani
Hi all,

The latest version of teamViewer, (version 15), doesn't seem to be
accessible with NVDA; I installed it on my windows 10 laptop and both
NVDA, and Narrator fall silent when I turn it on and try to navigate
inside the app.
Thanks,
Shireen.
