Of course this is much needed! In fact I recall having been notified about
the driver being hearing impaired or hard of hearing. If drivers have the

Basically one or the other accessibility bug has been creeping in with each
new update and the introduction of new features in android app. For
instance contacting the driver was not that difficult earlier. So there
must be a feature to report accessibility issues attended by a dedicated team.

The most inaccessible feature of Uber app is to adjust the location by
dragging the places in the maps itself. Further, locating the contact/call
driver after the ride has been booked is also not very strait forward.
Finally, very soon Uber is going to roll out a new feature, wherein there
would be an option of a direct chat between the rider and driver till both
meet. I hope Uber cares about accessibility in the new app with this feature.

Note, all of the above comments applicable to the Android OS.

Hi, how about the accessibility of locating the pick up location and
drop location on the map where most of the time the automatic
detection of the pickup point doesnot match with my residential
address.
Better option would be to have the option of booking on callthrough
call centres as it is with Fastrack...

Re: [AI] Uber accessibility feedback

2017-08-30 Thread Sunil Sangtani.
Hi Kartika,
Request you to put the following suggestions:
There is no accessible way to find the cab location at the time of
booking or during the ride.
The same can be implemented just like they did with pin location feature.
I have recently noticed that we can select the nearby location of the
selected pickup location
They can also do something to make there feeds more clean and
useable for screen readers.
Most of the time we have to bypass so much content before making the
needed selections.

The most inaccessible feature of Uber app is to adjust the location by
dragging the places in the maps itself. Further, locating the contact/call
driver after the ride has been booked is also not very strait forward.
Finally, very soon Uber is going to roll out a new feature, wherein there
would be an option of a direct chat between the rider and driver till both
meet. I hope Uber cares about accessibility in the new app with this
feature.

Note, all of the above comments applicable to the Android OS.

Hi friend it would be easy for us if Uber enable voice search facility as
it is difficult to type on a virtual keyboard in crowded place.
