That's exactly exactly what I want to say. How it is possible to take photo

Haha, this is totally ridiculous! They have very good business mind,
they should have implemented the business idea that if any passenger
is not having mask, he will have to buy mask from them in order to
ride!

Re: [AI] mis-use of DRM railway concession ID by other person

2021-11-29 Thread Mohib Anwar Rafay
This is in deed a serious issue, I do agree on the point, that its
participatory negligence of railway as they don't have incorporated
enough security measures in electronic concession card to prevent such
fraud with visually impaired person. However this fraud can easily be
caught by reverse tracking method by identifying the IRCTC user
account and associated mobile number used for the booking with this
concession by IRCTC cyber fraud department.
Now let me tell you what to do in this regard, write an application to
DRM explaining the matter and pleading victim in this case.
Simultaneously register an FIR, in railway police station where you
reside, if they don't register an F I R, ask them to register NCR and
have the copy of the complaint and submit it in DRM office with
request to restore your electronic card as it was not your fault and
you should not be left to suffer.

 I
think that the detail of your friends card has been either shared
electronically by railway’s PRS officials or physically through a photo
copy. Now most of the photo copy machines comes with in-built scanner
 and
saving features. Better to approach cyber crime cell of your local
 police.

[AI] Eyeway Conversation with Penny Melvile-Brown

2021-11-29 Thread George Abraham
In this episode of Eyeway Conversations, George Abraham speaks with Penny
Melville-Brown, a British Royal Navy veteran, blind baker and winner of the
Holman Prize. Penny served for 22 years in the Women's Royal Naval Service
(WRNS) and Royal Navy, reaching the rank of commander. She was the first
woman to hold the position of naval barrister. She was medically discharged
from the Royal Navy in 1999 after her eyesight deteriorated and she created
Disability Dynamics to help other people with disabilities to start a
business. In 2009, she was awarded an OBE for her service to the disabled.
In 2017, she was one of the three winners of the 2017 Holman prize for Blind
Ambition, an international award for blind people with ambition. In 2018 she
was awarded an honorary doctorate by London Middlesex University. She has an
online baking project called Baking Blind where she shows people how she
cooks and encourages others to test their limits even if they have
disabilities.

Penny believes that disability should not be the reason to not try
adventurous things, new things, or not do what everybody else does. She is
in the process of publishing her book next year in which she shares her
Holman Prize world tour, interleaved with her experience of blindness and
her history.

Tune in to listen to her inspiring and splendid journey!

 Considering the fact

 1) as on date dear victim ( sorry to use such word) .. Must have made
 a
 FIR not GD

 2) and same to be communities to DRM / Concern division copy to STATE
 DISABILITY COMMISSION / DM

 3) Then matter to be brought to CCPD

 4) IF all fails than may be proceed to legal

[AI] Keen to upskill, 8 blind girls learn basic German

2021-11-29 Thread Minar Singh
Keen to upskill, 8 blind girls learn basic German
Rucha Limaye / TNN / Updated: Nov 29, 2021, 17:55 IST
PUNE: Eight visually challenged girls have cleared the A1
certification exam (first level) in German language from the Goethe
Institute-Max Mueller Bhavan, Pune.Shravani Nandwadekar from Kolhapur,
Vaibhavi Gavli from Dehu, Akshada Muthe and Monica Bhalerav from
Aurangabad, Pooja Raykar from Uruli Devachi, Chaitrali Gayakwad from
Osmanabad, Kaveri Khairnar from Kondhapuri, and Pradnya Gaware from
Ahmednagar, battled odds to learn the language.
All eight are students of the National Federation of Blind,
Maharashtra’s Jagriti School for Blind Girls, and marked their
achievement in one go.“It started with a vision of learning a foreign
language – a skill that they enjoyed, which could also give them a
good career opportunity,” Aarti Takawane, the teacher who proposed the
foreign language course in the curriculum, said.

They began with online classes twice a week, but without a hands-on
learning in German Braille. “They showed keen interest and dedication
and picked up the language. Within eight months, they were ready to
take the A1 certification examination. We coordinated with Max Mueller
Bhavan and the staff was supportive,” German teacher Shailaja Rege
said.Conducting the A1 exam for these girls was an experience. “We
were amazed by the enthusiasm and confidence,” Sonal Atre, examination
in-charge at Goethe Institute, said. The exam date was on October 30,
the day the MSRTC strike began. Some examinees came from villages and
public bus transport was the only option to reach the centre on Boat
Club Road in Pune.“We were worried about making it on time for the
exam. I am in Std X and it was very difficult to study the regular
syllabus along with a foreign language. But, our teachers helped us
space the studies. We did not want everyone’s efforts to go in vain,”
Shravani, one of the students, said.Everyone was brought together and
a private car was arranged. At the centre, the exam paper was in
German Braille, which confused the girls. After some initial setback,
they managed to read the paper and respond. All eight girls are now
set to study A2 level. “I have started receiving calls from other
blind schools across India for mentoring students. Our second batch
includes four boys from the Bhosari Blind School,” Takawane said.

Re: [AI] problem in booking uber cab

2021-11-29 Thread Sandesh
Actually, I had to give my bits before but I could not do so.
I never had such experience with either Uber or Ola.
I book vehicles on both platforms (Specially on Uber) without any such issues.
In fact, listening to such condition itself was new thing to me.
Anyway, it is good that your issue is gone now and hope not to hear any such
nonsense thing from either of ride provider.

  Best

Good morning friends I am happy to share you that today I have book Uber
without any difficulty. The app did not ask me for selfie with mask although I
have escalated distinct to uber but they did not respond positively to me.
Hence I could not comment that whether the Uber has removed this option for all
passengers or they have removed from my ID only. I request you to please
confirm if possible that 8 it Uber has repealed this option for all of us or
for a particular person only

The interesting point is that they are not not asking for mask on ubermoto
while they are asking the same thing book while booking Uber cabs

Haha, this is totally ridiculous! They have very good business mind,
they should have implemented the business idea that if any passenger
is not having mask, he will have to buy mask from them in order to
  ride!
