Hi,

Try using replication instead.

I currently run replication from 6.3.6.101 (RHEL) to 8.1.4 (AIX). You
have to contact IBM to get the .101 (or higher) fix level for 6.3.6

Have a look at

Export data to spectrum protect 8.1.4 from old tsm server

2018-02-12 Thread Tsm Tsm
hello

exporting data from 6.3.4.300 to 8.1.1 was working

we had this environment some months ago.

now we had to do same thing with 6.3.4.300 and new version 8.1.4.
other location of same customer
does not work anymore

messages like down level, etc

do we need to update the 6.3 tsm server first?

we do not want ssl on the old server, so for us it is better if possible
to update to
a server level older than 8.1.2.

with best regards

Certificate chaining error

2018-02-12 Thread Tommaso Bollini
Hello,
I'm trying to add an S3 repository as a Cloud Container stgpool in a
virtual-lab S.P. Server ( ver. 7.1.7)
I have ANR3701E errors "Cannot connect to the cloud service provider" and
in tsmffdc.log the "Certificate chaining error" message.
Can anyone tell me if I have an incorrect server configuration, or is it a
CA Sign Cert. problem?
Regards,
Tommaso Bollini

Trying again

2018-02-12 Thread Schaub, Steve
Didn't see a response to this so I'm trying one more time, cause I think
someone out there knows the answer.

We have 6 Netapp fileshares that have a small number of large files but TB
daily change rates.
When Snapdiff runs, we are not seeing the number of sessions we expect after
setting resourceutilization=10.
Is this due to how TSM is receiving the changed file list from the Netapp?
Would we be better off forcing CreateNewBase=yes on every run to increase
multi-threading?
Thanks,
-steve
