Re: CriterionID 3000000

2017-01-17 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tommy,

The CriterionID

 field
represents the ID of a criterion
,

say for example a Keyword
.

Using the AdGroupCriterionService.get
,

you may be able to retrieve information for each of your criterions by
specifying the fields you wish to pull in the Selector
.

You may refer to the GetKeywords

 example
(other languages are also available in the link) in the client library for
more information. Hope this helps.

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Applying for Google AdWords API Access & Application Denied Twice

2017-01-17 Thread Martin Masin
Hello Everyone,

Question, I just applied for Google AdWords API access as I am creating a
SEO app for the Shopify platform and my application has been denied twice
in a row.

The reason that Google is giving me for the denied application is:

"*Tools that offer only keyword research are not allowed by the AdWords
API Policy .  *Thus,
we are not able to approve an API token for your stated use case."

I see that sites like www.semrush.com use this API, so I am wondering if I
am missing something obvious in how I apply or what approach others have
taken if you have had the same issue.

Thanks in advance,
Martin

Re: Are there any new In-market categories ?

Hi,

The category corresponding to Id 80598 is 'Sports Tickets' and that
of 80599 is 'American Football Tickets'.

You could use the ConstantDataService.
getuserinterestcriterion()

 with
the userInterestTaxonomyType as 'IN_MARKET' to get the complete list of
In-Market categories. We don't have a sample for this specific case but you
could refer to a similar

 example
which uses the ConstantDataService.

Re: Click Performance Report via API > Call Extension gCLID > import to Analytics > Link and attribute to Adwords

2017-01-17 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Alan,

Yes, you can still import the GCLIDs from the Click Performance Report

 into
your AdWords account as either "import from click" or "import from calls".
These conversion types are used so that a user can get a measure of what
happens offline when an ad results in a click or call. Please see this guide
 for more information on
offline conversion tracking.

Please note that the same conversion won't be imported more than once. So,
if you try to upload a conversion with the same combination of same GCLID,
name, and time, AdWords will ignore it. But if you want to upload multiple
conversions of the same type, for the same click, you can. AdWords will
record them as separate conversions as long as they have different times
(the GCLIDs and conversion names can be identical).

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: Click Performance Report via API > Call Extension gCLID > import to Analytics > Link and attribute to Adwords

2017-01-17 Thread ajohnson
Thank you for that info, Shweta.

I would like to kindly ask you if you could confirm one thing, if possible.
The GCLIDs that I obtain from the click_metrics_report via AdWords API,
which are generated from call extension or click_to_call "clicks", can I
still import them to AdWords as either "import from clicks" or "import from
calls" conversions even if the ad never takes them to the landing page?

We do not intend to use Google forwarding numbers because we have a third
party call tracking service that needs to use specific numbers. We would
like to be able to attribute these GCLIDs to the proper keyword/campaign as
conversions. Thanks so much.

Best,
Alan

Re: Ip ban limitation

Hi Filipe,

A maximum of 500 IP blocks can be excluded from a campaign. This is a system
limit

associated
with AdWords and cannot be changed. I suggest that you use CIDR IP address
blocks is possible to group multiple IP addresses while using the IpBlock

If this is not a feasible option, you would need to create new campaigns to
add more IpBlocks.

Re: Bulk Keyword Bid Update PHP Code Sample?

2017-01-17 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Mike,

The AddKeywordsUsingIncrementalBatchJob

 PHP
example demonstrates how to add keywords in bulk using BatchJobService. You
can modify this example to update your keyword bids as well. You can refer
to the UpdateKeyword

 PHP
sample for an example of an operation which updates a keyword. The code
snippet provided below updates the keyword bid to the specified value. You
can use this as a reference to update your keyword bids in bulk.

$adGroupCriterion = new BiddableAdGroupCriterion();
$adGroupCriterion->setAdGroupId($adGroupId);
$adGroupCriterion->setCriterion(new Criterion($criterionId));
// Update the bid.
$bid = new CpcBid();
$money = new Money();
$money->setMicroAmount(intval(BID_IN_MICROS));
$bid->setBid($money);
$biddingStrategyConfiguration = new BiddingStrategyConfiguration();
$biddingStrategyConfiguration->setBids([$bid]);

$adGroupCriterion->setBiddingStrategyConfiguration($biddingStrategyConfiguration);

// Create ad group criterion operation and add it to the list.
$operation = new AdGroupCriterionOperation();
$operation->setOperand($adGroupCriterion);
$operation->setOperator(Operator::SET);

I hope this helps.

Re: Question on ads API

2017-01-17 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Unfortunately, the API does not have any service that provides this
information.

As a workaround, you could check the change history
 from the AdWords UI
and differentiate them by using the appropriate filter. You could also add
a label  while you
create the campaign via the API which can be later used to identify the
campaigns created by the API.

Thanks,

Re: Download campaigns - Not included in report

2017-01-17 Thread Vikram Tiwari
With some support in the private thread, we were able to resolve this.

To get complete data one would need to run two queries:

1. To get all the UAC campaign data: `Select CampaignId, CampaignName,
Clicks, Impressions, Cost FROM CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT where
AdvertisingChannelType = MULTI_CHANNEL and AdvertisingChannelSubType =
UNIVERSAL_APP_CAMPAIGN DURING YESTERDAY`
2. To get data for all other campaigns: `SELECT CampaignId, CampaignName,
Impressions, Clicks, Cost FROM ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT DURING YESTERDAY`

Reason being UAC campaign's data is not available in
ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT which is cause each campaign of type UAC is
considered a separate AdGroup in itself.

As for a feedback to AdWords API team, I would suggest adding UAC campaigns
data in the ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT as well. The column values for
AdGroup could be substituted with campaign name itself.

Thanks for all the support.

Re: GCLID Date on GOOGLE CLICK REPORT

2017-01-17 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Shay,

The report that you segment by time will generate the results according to
the time zone setting
 of your account.
However it is not likely that the click which occurred at the end of the
day will get pushed to the next day or later. You could also check out the
document  on data
freshness for better clarity.

Thanks,

Hi Thibaut,

Yes, you can definitely map multiple FeedAttributes to the same placeholder
field for an Ad Customizer feed. Could you check if the correct placeholder
IDs are being provided in the mutate request? Could you enable logging and
provide the SOAP request and response logs so I can take a look at what's
going wrong? Please use *Reply privately to author* when responding.

Hi Sarvagya,

Were you able to follow these steps

Re: Fetch Phone conversion alone to any of the reporting service

2017-01-17 Thread 'Vishal Vinayak (Adwords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You can use the field ExternalConversionSource
,

which is available in multiple reports, to identify the source of a
conversion. The value of the field would be AD_CALL_METRICS for conversions
related to calls from ads. You would need to set up AdCallMetricsConversion

 tracker
to be able to measure phone call conversions. To fetch details of calls
made to the Google forwarding number, you can use the Call Metrics Call
Details Report

. Our Conversion Tracking Guide

 has
more details on this topic.

   Instruction on using this service to link accounts is provided here

   .

   3. You can use TargetingIdeaService

 to
   generate keyword ideas based on your existing keywords and website. You can
   also use this service to get search volume data and trends. More
   information on using this service is provided here

.
   The GetKeywordIdeas

 Java
   example demonstrates how to get keywords related to a seed keyword. You
   need to use the TrafficEstimatorService

 to
   retrieve traffic estimates for proposed or existing campaigns, ad groups,
   and keywords. This guide

 provides
   more information about this service. The EstimateKeywordTraffic

Re: How to get phone call count and Form count seperately in Reports

2017-01-17 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Joseph,

If you have set up conversion tracking, you could use the conversion
related fields to segment data based on the conversion action. Here are the
some commonly used conversion fields available in reporting

.

Otherwise, you could use the clickType

 to
differentiate the type. Please note that the totals may not be accurate as
impressions could be double counted while using the clickType field. You
could also check out the Call Metrics Call Details report

 and
see if that is suitable for your use case.

Hi Ahmed,

Although you can use AdWords API for some of the requirements that you
mentioned, I would suggest taking a look at this section

 of
the Getting Started Guide as well. In general, we provide detailed guides
and documentation for services and reports that can be used to interact
with the API. For example, this guide

has
details on how to generate keyword ideas based on your seed keyword, an
existing ad group or other inputs. For targeting users in a certain
geographical location, please refer to this guide
.
A general overview of how to manage a campaign using AdWords API is
available here
.
To retrieve various metrics, you can use one of the reports
. Please
refer to this guide

 for
detailed instructions on how to get started.

Re: AdGroupCriterionLabel and AdGroupAdLabel creation fails when using batch service and negative IDs

2017-01-17 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Anthony,

Dependent operations are applied in the order they appear in your upload.
Therefore, when using temporary IDs, make sure the operation that creates a
parent object comes before the operations that create its child objects. In
your scenario, you need to upload AdGroupCriterionOperation before
AdGroupCriterionLabelOperation and AdGroupAdOperation before
AdGroupAdLabelOperation. If this doesn't solve the issue, could you provide
uploaded batch job operations and the result file as well? Please use *Reply
privately to author* when responding.

Re: can't download "conversion label" field

2017-01-17 Thread PPC Developer
I see, thanks. So now, how do I get that snippet information in a click
performance report? Today, I can pull a report via the API using
"conversion name" field, which has conversion values as we defined in the
dashboard, such as "Question Posted" or "Question Paid". So now, how do
extract snippets (to get conversion labels) in the "posted question"
conversions?

I'm basically trying to filter "Questions Posted" conversions using the
"conversion Label" attribute. So I can calculate "TMobile Click to Question
Posted metrics" vs "AT Click to Question Posted Metrics", etc...

Hi,

I have set up the PHP API library and configured
the developerToken, clientCustomerId, clientId, clientSecret

I have checked into the file system and file OAuth2TokenBuilder.php is
present under the directory "src/Google/AdsApi/Common" .

Please let me know how we can fix this issue?

Thanks,

Ip ban limitation

2017-01-17 Thread Filipe D.E
Hi everyone,

After banning 500 ip adresses from Google Adwords, I have to develop an API
in order to add more adresses.
I read the documentation, but I didn't find the function(s) that allow
that, can someone help me, or is there any commercial solution for doing
this

Thank you in advance.

mapping AD CUSTOMIZER - MULTIPLE_MAPPINGS_FOR_PLACEHOLDER_TYPE

2017-01-17 Thread Thibaut R.
Hi,

I'm trying to create a mapping for an AD CUSTOMIZER feed. I need to map 2
different attributes to the same field. In the doc it's written "This
placeholder type permits the FeedMapping

 to
map multiple FeedAttributes

 to
the same placeholder field. This allows you to, for example, substitute
more than one string value in your ads.". But when I try to do it in Scala
I have the following error: MULTIPLE_MAPPINGS_FOR_PLACEHOLDER_TYPE.

Below my Scala code:

val currencyFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedCurrencyid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_STRING)
val langFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedLangid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_STRING)
val priceFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping= new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedPriceid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_INTEGER)
val updateFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping   = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedUpdateDateid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_DATE)
val feedMapping: FeedMapping = new FeedMapping(null,
feedFormatids.feedid, PLACEHOLDER_AD_CUSTOMIZER, null,
Array(currencyFeedAttribute, langFeedAttribute, priceFeedAttribute,
updateFeedAttribute), null)
val feedMappingOperation: FeedMappingOperation   = new
FeedMappingOperation(Operator.ADD, null, feedMapping)

val feedMappingOperationArray:Array[FeedMappingOperation] =
Array(feedMappingOperation)
feedMappingService.mutate(feedMappingOperationArray)

I get the error when I call the mutate. Like you can see I need to join the
"currency" and the "lang" on the same String field.

Please let me know if I did something wrong.

Thanks.

Thibaut

Bulk Keyword Bid Update PHP Code Sample?

2017-01-17 Thread Mike Enos
Hi Everyone,

I've been looking for a PHP code sample of bulk updating keyword bids.

I have code that is allowing me to update individual keyword bids (not
entire adgroups), but I cannot find any sample WORKING PHP code.

Now that Mutate is being replaced by BatchJob, I would like to find a
working sample.

Can someone please help?

Thanks,

..Mike

FeedMapping - Map multiple FeedAttributes to the same placeholder fields

2017-01-17 Thread Thibaut R.
Hi,

In this documentation
(https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/placeholders) it's
written that I can "map multiple FeedAttributes

 to
the same placeholder field.", but when I am trying in Scala I get this
error: MULTIPLE_MAPPINGS_FOR_PLACEHOLDER_TYPE.

My code:

val currencyFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedCurrencyid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_STRING)
val langFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedLangid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_STRING)
val priceFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping= new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedPriceid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_INTEGER)
val updateFeedAttribute: AttributeFieldMapping   = new
AttributeFieldMapping(feedFormatids.feedUpdateDateid, PLACEHOLDER_FIELD_DATE)
val feedMapping: FeedMapping = new FeedMapping(null,
feedFormatids.feedid, PLACEHOLDER_AD_CUSTOMIZER, null,
Array(currencyFeedAttribute, langFeedAttribute, priceFeedAttribute,
updateFeedAttribute), null)
val feedMappingOperation: FeedMappingOperation   = new
FeedMappingOperation(Operator.ADD, null, feedMapping)

val feedMappingOperationArray:Array[FeedMappingOperation] =
Array(feedMappingOperation)
feedMappingService.mutate(feedMappingOperationArray)

I just need to map 2 different attributes to the same string field.

Please let me know if I did something wrong.

Thanks,

Thibaut

AdWords get specific statistics

2017-01-17 Thread Дмитрий Апельт
Hi all!
I have a few questions about the possibilities AdWords API .
1. Documentation specified that the test manager account is limited to 100
 connected accounts, what limitations normal manager account have?
2. Is there a possibility to use AdWords API to connect accounts to a
managed account, and if so in what form it can be done (eg using oauth 2)?
3. Can I get recommended keywords for specific pages on a site? If so then
can I get data for each keyword klicks, ctr and positions?

AdGroupCriterionLabel and AdGroupAdLabel creation fails when using batch service and negative IDs

2017-01-17 Thread Anthony Merlo
When attempting to add a full campaign using the batch service and negative
IDs, the job will fail to create labels giving the error:

errorType=EntityNotFound, trigger=TempCriterionId{id=4},
errorString=EntityNotFound.INVALID_ID,
fieldPath=operations[7].operand.criterionId

Are labels supported for negative IDs or is this an internal bug?

I have some sample code to post if needed. I modified the Java example
AddCompleteCampaignsUsingBatchJob to replicate the bug.

Automating managed Adwords ads services for products pages on my website

2017-01-17 Thread 'Ahmed Maher' via AdWords API Forum
Hi all,

In simple words, I plan to offer managed services to product pages like in
that page http://www.wordstream.com/ppc-pricing-managed-services.

The thing is each product has a page on my website. Products owners will
pay the amount of money they would like to invest in Google AdWords, and my
role is to bring them visitors to their page on the website. My business
model is to get a percentage (i.e. 10%) of the amount they invest at Google
AdWords.

Then, need product owners not to leave my website when they pay for the
service, see visitors statics, and so on. I think that Google Adwords API
 shall help
with that.

I need to *automate *the process as much as possible, in the following
waterfall:

1- Product owner pay: the amount of money he wish to invest per month or
one time. This amount of payment shall be considered as "Available Credit"
for this product.
2- Certain keywords, that is agreed upon by our website Google Adwards
manager (it will be product name, and city name (I may just get visitors
based on a city-related keyword and direct them to product page)), start to
be effective at my website account at Google Adwards.
3- Google starts to direct good visits to the product page at my website.
4- Our website Google Adwards manager monitor visits quality and improve
keywords and do all his other Adwords account-related work at this step.
5- Now, product owner can see the visits statics and the amount of credit
deduced from his "Available Credit" at his my website dashboard.

Please let me know if you handled such system before? How really can I
achieve that?

Thanks a lot.

Re: CustomerService getCustomers

2017-01-17 Thread cv
Hello,

I think you need to follow this steps

1) You need to prepare Adwords Session without->withClientCustomerId(
$clientCustomerId)
2) You need to use customer service to get all customers
3) Check for canManageClients field, if that is yes you need to call manage
customer service (You can use example GetAccountHierarchy )
and if not you can see customer details within the object return
here you can find the clientCustomerId as
$cliendData = $customerService->getCustomers();

$clientCustomerId = $cliendData[0]->customerId;

so Now you can prepare adwords session again to pull the campaign details,

$session = (new AdWordsSessionBuilder())
->withClientCustomerId($clientCustomerId)
->withOAuth2Credential($oAuth2Credential)
->build();

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Disabling API Test access for MCC?

Hi,

I accidentally enabled testing API access to our MCC account which we don't
really need to use (attached screenshot).

How to I disabled it?

Re: ad customizer with IF functions not working

2017-01-17 Thread Martin Roettgerding
Hey,

We basically have the same question: When will this be available? The blog
post says that it's rolled *over the next few months*. I'm not sure how to
read this – the "over" seems to imply that some accounts get it sooner than
others, until the rollout is complete. Is this correct?

I'm asking because we're doing what you suggested: typing *{* when editing
an ad. However, as an agency we have more than a few accounts and this gets
really time consuming and frustrating. So far, we've found this nowhere.

Could you clarify whether this is a gradual rollout or not? Better yet,
could you provide a more effient way to check for this (one that doesn't
involve manually checking every account)?

(Yes, we are really eager to try this out :)

Cheers

Martin

So no one can help to get clientCustomerId with the updated library?
If I use the code below I get no error but no clientCustomerId as well.

$managedCustomerService = $adWordsServices->get($session,
