Re: Can we make reporting calls using the AdWords API for YouTube Campaigns created and ran through DBM?

2018-04-18 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Arnab,

We can only provide reporting statistics if these video/YouTube campaigns
were created on AdWords only. You can refer to our reporting guide
 and to
our Java examples
 which
are also available to other languages as you can see in the link.

However, if these YouTube campaigns are created through DBM only, then I
believe that their reporting statistics can only be retrieved through DBM.
If you need further assistance on the reporting side of DBM, you may reach
out their support by clicking the "Contact us" link in this guide
.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: Removing ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

2018-04-18 Thread 'Vincent Racaza (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Tim,

Please see answers below to your questions.

1.) The ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

will only trigger if you manually apply them via the AdWords API or the
AdWords UI. If you have not set this setting via the UI or API, this won't
be returned via the AdGroupService.get()

.
2.) If you no longer apply (you manually removed the setting via the UI or
API) the targeting optimization setting of your ad group, the AdWords API
will no longer return the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting via the
AdGroupService.get(). I tested this on my end. First, I retrieved an ad
group with this setting and the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting was included
in the response. I then removed the targeting optimization setting, and
then get the ad ad group again with the settings

 field,
and the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting is no longer returned.

Let me know if you have further clarifications.

Thanks,
Vincent

Re: Adwords API Label - Adgroup report

2018-04-18 Thread 'Peter Oliquino' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Unfortunately, there is currently no report in the AdWords API wherein you
can aggregate the rows using 1 Label : 1 AdGroup combination. Also, there
is currently no exact value returned for values below 10% for the
SearchImpressionShare

 field.
I would recommend that you get in touch with the product experts via the
AdWords
Community Forum

to
confirm if there is a way via the AdWords UI to retrieve the information
you need.

Best regards,
Peter

Re: Value for userInterestParentId field when adding audience

2018-04-18 Thread Matthew Wawrin
Hi Nadine,

I re-checked our logs and found that it appears to started giving errors
from 2018-04-10. Our usage of these criteria is relatively new compared to
others (keywords, locations, etc) and the verification on all the required
user interests wasn't working properly.

I hadn't realised we could pull this list with the ConstantDataService.
I'll start using this to keep our lists up to date.
Any announcements to the changes of these lists would still be very
helpful. We were using these as targeting for specific products and were
also planning on building a new campaign around these as well.

I can message you privately if you'd like the list of ids we were using.

Also, what happens to any adgroups targeting the removed user interest
categories?

Thanks,
Matt.

Hello Gary,

I don't have a CSV ready to go because we have to go through the process of
getting that properly published, but we do have an API service that can get
you this list. You can use ConstantDataService.getUserInterestCriterion()

 to
get back the list of available ones already. Please get back to me if you
see those old ones when you pull them down through that service. That would
mean that there is a further issue. I've found that service is up-to-date,
though.

Cheers,

I'm assuming that this fix to the API is why I'm now seeing errors for user

I see specific brands we were using are no longer available. Is there a

Can we make reporting calls using the AdWords API for YouTube Campaigns created and ran through DBM?

2018-04-18 Thread Arnab Gogoi
Hey AdWords team!

Our platform provides reporting functionalities specifically for YouTube
Campaigns. While we can make calls and provide data for YouTube campaigns
created within the AdWords Ads Manager, we were wondering if we would also
be able to provide reporting data for YouTube campaigns which our larger
clients create exclusively using DBM. Does it matter where the YouTube
campaigns were created in order for us to provide reporting on them using
the AdWords API?

Thanks so much for your time,
Arnab

Removing ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

2018-04-18 Thread 'Tim Tsai' via AdWords API Forum
Hi there,

I am looking at the "Targeting Optimization" feature in AdWords. I know
from documentation that this feature is represented by the
ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

in the AdWords API.

It seems that if you have previously applied the Targeting Optimization
feature on an adgroup, that adgroup will always return a
ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting
,

even if you no longer have it applied.

I have two questions:

   1. What triggers the ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

 to
   be applied to an AdGroup?
   2. Does ExplorerAutoOptimizerSetting

 get
updated if you no longer apply Targeting Optimization to an AdGroup?

I have attached a screenshot of the Targeting Optimization menu I am
referring to.

Thanks,
Tim

Adwords API Label - Adgroup report

2018-04-18 Thread upnestbi
Hi!, i'm making a report in the API v201802, i need to create a report
similar to Adwords Predefined report "Labels - Ad group" but searching in
the report types available for request, i don't have any options for Label
aggregation in AdGroup Performance report, i'm making separately 43 queries
from ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

 for
each label but i'm getting a lot of rows and i need to summarize manually,
the most important problem is the SearchImpressionShare field because i
don't have an exact value for percentages below to 10% and i can't make
that summary, i need a way to create this report in the API or group by
Label. someone can help me with this?

Re: Report API click type attribution doesn't match Adwords UI

2018-04-18 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Peter,

Could you please share the client customer id for which you were facing an
issue? Also, please share the screen-shot of the AdWords UI for cost stats
discrepancy. Since ads that serve can be attributed to multiple click types
,

metric fields may be double-counted and thus totals may not be accurate,
especially for Display network campaigns. You could choose 'Reply privately
to author' option while responding.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Re: includeZeroImpressions is not supported for this request

2018-04-18 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

You have to set the to includeZeroImpressions

 to
false in the header. Please check the line of code

 in
Java sample where you can set this. Once you have this set to false, you
could take out the condition "Impressions>0". Please give this a try and
let me know if you are facing any issues.

Re: Account creation and billing informaiton

2018-04-18 Thread 'Milind Sankeshware (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Robin,

Please find my response below:

1. To get all request and response logs you could add DEBUG instead of
INFO. Could you please update logger info in your log4j.properties and
retry the activity and share the result. Also please share the campaign
which you were facing an issue along with client customer id so that I can
troubleshoot the issue. Please find example to update value in
log4.properties file below:

log4j.category.com.google.api.ads.adwords.lib.client.AdWordsServiceClient.soapXmlLogger=DEBUG,

CONSOLE
log4j.appender.CONSOLE.Threshold=DEBUG

Please refer java logging guide
 for more
information.

2. Looks like length for description2 is more than 38 character in your
request. Could you please validate the length of the line before making the
request and retry the activity? The AdError.LINE_TOO_WIDE occurs when one
of the lines in an ad was longer than the maximum allowed length. If you
are still facing the same issue, could you please open another forum thread
(as this error is not related to campaign remove) and share the complete
SOAP request there?

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

No problem. Actually it would be great that if there is an API fetching
affinity group in the future.

Re: Value for userInterestParentId field when adding audience

2018-04-18 Thread 'Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Gary,

Thank you for providing all the amazing details privately. They were really
helpful in tracking this down. I'm answering out on the forum in case one
of your fellow developers bumps into this. I turns out that the affinity
categories

 we
currently have listed in our documentation are a bit out of sync with the
AdWords UI. We'll get them updated right away. Those categories that are
giving you an error don't even exist in the AdWords UI. In our back-end
system, they must have been recently removed, and we didn't update our list
to reflect that. Thank you for catching this and bringing this to our
attention. Unfortunately, this means those categories are no longer
available, but at least you've helped some people by making sure our
documentation gets updated. Thank you!

Best,
Nadine, AdWords API Team

Report API click type attribution doesn't match Adwords UI

2018-04-18 Thread peter
I am attempting to generate a report which tells me which Final URLs users
are landing aggregated by click type (sitelinks, headline, etc). I am
pulling a FINAL_URL_REPORT using the following query:

SELECT ClickType, EffectiveFinalUrl, Impressions, Cost, Clicks, Ctr,
AverageCpc
FROM FINAL_URL_REPORT
DURING 20180320,20180320

This query returns all the unique (final url, click type) pairs. When I add
up all the clicks across the rows I get a number that matches the total
clicks on the AdWords web console.

However, when I add up all the clicks across the rows with click type
"Sitelink" I get a number that is much lower than what is shown on the
AdWords web console for total clicks for all sitelink extensions. What is
also interesting is that when I add up the total number of impressions
across the rows with click type "Sitelink" it does match up with the number
on the AdWords web console.

Am I using the FINAL_URL_REPORT incorrectly or is there a bug on the web
console/API?

My goal is to get the true total number of clicks aggregated by unique
final url + click type.
