Hi Kevin,

I'm a colleague of Dannison, allow me to provide support for your concern
as he is OOO. You can find more information about
the FeedItemTargetService in this link
.

Also, you may check out this link

 if
you want to know which Selector fields are currently supported
in FeedItemTargetService.

Kindly let me know if you still have any clarifications on this.

 Hi Sreekanth,

After creating your MCC account, you should request for basic access

  by
filling up and submitting this form
for you to be able to
make API calls to your production account. The AdWords Compliance Team
should contact you within 2 business days for its status. Your developer
token can be found by logging in to Adwords UI using your MCC account then
got to *Tools, billing, and settings* icon and select *AdWords API
 Center.*

The next step would be to generate your OAuth2 credentials
  to
get your client ID, client secret and refresh token, then download a
 client
 library
 . Once
your setup has been completed and basic access has been approved, you may
then be able to make calls using your production account. Feel free to
write back to me for anything you may need to clarify about the guides and
if there are any specific subjects you wish to learn about the AdWords API.

 Thanks and regards,

Can postal code or city/state data be gleaned from a location ID?

2018-09-13 Thread Joshua Brown
I've been asked to help out on a friend's project. The client is running a
nationwide campaign, and when a user clicks on an ad they will be sent to a
landing page with a URL like this:
https://URL/landing/?loc_physical_ms=1023631.
The client wants me to take the location ID (in this case, 1023631),
convert it to a geographical location, compare it to a provided JSON list
of offices, and put the ID of the office closest to the location ID on the
page.

I am new to AdWords, so I'm not sure if this can be done. I know from the
LocationCriteria CSV file that 1023631 is Cleveland, but I don't see any
ZIP or separate City or State information there that I could use. CSV is
probably off the table anyway, as I don't have database access and
converting it to JSON would yield an enormous file. If I use the API, can I
get postal code or city/state information using the location ID?

Can ZIP or City & State data be gleaned from the Location ID?

2018-09-13 Thread Joshua Brown
I've been asked to help out on a friend's project. The client is running a
nationwide AdWords campaign, and they are using geotargeting. When the user
clicks on the ad, they end up on a page with a URL like "
https://URL/new-landing-v4-nf/?loc_physical_ms=1023631
".

The client wants me to take the location ID, convert it to a geographic
location, compare it against a list of offices in a provided JSON feed, and
put the ID of the office closest to the AdWords location ID on the landing
page.

I am pretty new to AdWords. I know from the Location Criteria CSV that
1023631 is the code for Cleveland, but I don't see a lot of other data
there that I can grab, and anyway storing or converting that CSV file is
off the table. I don't have database access and a JSON file would be
enormous. If I figure out how to use the API, can I get city or even ZIP
information using the location ID? I don't see a lot of examples on how to
do this.

Loading Error with the googleads.yaml file

2018-09-13 Thread nils
Hej Community,

I wrote a script that pulls a performance report and based on KPI

script and the googleads.yaml file to my colleagues PC, it doesn't work
anymore.

Adding ad_manager to the dfp key does not fix this and it actually should
not matter at all.

I don't know why it even checks the dfp keys as in my script I call
adwordsclient not dfpclient.
adwords_client = adwords.AdWordsClient.LoadFromStorage(
r"C:\Users\Juniqe\Desktop\evergreen_script\googleads.yaml")

We are using the latest version of googleads module and run it on Python
3.7.0

Hopefully, someone has an idea how I can solve this.

Cheers,
Nils

Re: Unable to connect to the remote server when submitting a Batch Job

2018-09-13 Thread Alperen Belgic
Hi Sreelakshmi,

Thank you for your response.

After your message, I checked the source code of adwords api.net client and
I noticed the below line in BuildRequest method of HttpUtilities class
request.Proxy = config.Proxy;

This line overrides the configuration which I included in web.config.

I assigned Proxy member of AdWordsAppConfig object which I pass to the
service like below line:
config.Proxy = new System.Net.WebProxy(new Uri("proxy
address here"), false) { UseDefaultCredentials = false, };

And it works now.

Thank you very much for your support.

Re: Unable to connect to the remote server when submitting a Batch Job

2018-09-13 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Alperen,

The issue seems to be specific to your environment setup. I found another
thread

 about
the same topic which might be useful for you. If the suggestions on that
thread is not helpful for you, could you please open a new issue
 on the .NET
client library? The library owner is better equipped to address this
question.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

Adwords API for Auction Insights vs Google Studio

2018-09-13 Thread manuel . lopes
OPTIONS

Hi,

Since there is still no way to retrieve Auction Insights info from the API,
i found that you can use Data Studio for that purpose.

On Data Studio, when i build a report to retrieve Auction Insight - Domains
by Adgroup, I noticed 2 errors on the results:

1- When comparing with the results from regular AdWords (over the same time
interval), the Impression Share metric is not similar at all.

2- There are several competitors that show up in the Auction Insight -
Domain that have 100% IS. However, when i look up those same competitors in
Adwords i see that they show "<10%" IS, so this must probably be a bug on
Data Studio side.

Is there any way to solve this? Because Data Studio is very useful to get
Auction Insights info in bulk (which is not allowed in AdwordsAPI), however
the results are most definitely wrong.

Thanks.

Hi Luis,

We're also seeing this error when trying to send products up to our
Accounts through the AdWords API. It's affecting both search and shopping
(slightly different error message on shopping) and seems like a widespread
issue considering it's not just; do you have any information on the current
status of the API and what the issue is?

Cheers

Re: Disk Quota for Batch Jobs is a negative number and doesn't seem to be recovering

2018-09-13 Thread sanjay
Hi,

I think I have found out what the issue was.

We kept on retrying a failing batch job.

I suspect the adwords API noticed that we kept on submitting a failing
batch job and put in place measures to restrict our developer token from
creating/uploading batches - by a way of marking the disk quota to a
negative number.

Could you please confirm this?

If so, we are working on fixing the rogue batch job, could the restrictions
be lifted so we can continue processing.

An urgent response would be appreciated.

Thanks
Sanjay

Re: BatchJobs - Huge processing times since last night

2018-09-13 Thread Jan
Same here. We have batch jobs with only 2 operations which take more then
90! minutes to complete.

Please look in to this problem asap!

Re: Increase bid by X%

That would work, but is way too complicated due to the different bidding
options, like enhanced etc. Maybe adding 3 bid modifiers (Computer, tablet,
and mobile) would be the simples and work just fine, no?

BatchJobs - Huge processing times since last night

2018-09-13 Thread Thorsten Merz
Hey there,

since last night (8 hours ago) we started to have increasing processing
times on our batch job executions up to a point where the job takes longer
than 2000 seconds to finish (if at all). Our usual average normally is
around 15 seconds.

Examples are attached incl. batch job IDs

Some fix for this would be appreciated.

Regards
