RE: Mobile Sitelinks in GAds interface

2019-02-17 Thread googleadsapi-forumadvisor via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi Esperanza,

My apologies for the delayed response. I am a colleague of Millind, allow
me to provide support for your concerns.

Thank you for further elaborating your concerns. Mobile sitelinks can still
be created in the Google Ads UI. You may refer to this guide
 under "*Device
preference*" on how to do so. You can also remove or turn off the ad
extensions on your account. Here’s an article on how to remove extensions

.

For quick reference, you may also follow the steps below on how to remove
your sitelinks.

   1. Go to Ads & Extensions page on the left menu bar.
   2. Click on *Extensions* tab at the top of the page.
   3. Tick the checkbox of the extensions you want to remove and click the "
*Remove*" button in the blue flag that appears on the top.

Just to add, I do not see a filter or parameter in the report you've shown
that can indicate that the sitelink is for mobile. However, it still
returned that specific sitelink in the reports.

Let me know if this answers your concern.

They use to be available on the old Google Ads interface, but THERE IS NO
WAY FOR YOU TO SEE THEM OR EDIT THEM IN THE NEW GOOGLE ADS INTERFACE. You
can't create new ones, buy the old ones are still triggering alerts.

The questions are:

1. Can Mobile Sitelinks can be created or edit on the new Google Ads
interface?
2. Can Mobile Sitelinks be removed from a Google Ads account?
3. Are Mobile Sitelinks still supported?

From time to time, we come across an adgroup where the API returns more ads

subsequently fail with a MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT error

However, we are assured by the account owner that Adwords Express was never
used in the history of the account. The Campaign_Performance_Report also
confirms that the channel type and subtype does not contain 'Express'.

Here is one example we came across today:

Customer ID: 2533687629.
Camapign ID: 125023188.
Adgroup ID: 4920116748.

When downloading only enabled Expanded Text Ads (ETAs), the API is giving
us 4 enabled ads with IDs 323197102481, 285409627137, 332424239689,
332424364303.

However, the UI is showing only one ETA with ID 285409627137.

Any idea why the API is giving more enabled ads than the UI, and why
operations on these additional ads fail?

Hi Han,

On the AdWords API perspective, if you remove the customer feed, your ads
will not include location extensions even if you still have campaign or ad
group feeds. Also, automatic removal of filter will take place. You may

Hi Lata,
Thanks for the response. We have been able to resolve this issue by a
workaround (Removing the campaign feed ourselves and then recreating with
the new one). So right now the account with the issue has been corrected. I
would like to understand how this location feed works under the cover so we
can have a correct workflow/implementation.
To be clear, we're mostly update these location extension stuff using
Google Ad API. But occasionally our team has some use case the requires
them to remove extensions from Google UI directly. I guess this is where
the inconsistency occurs. Can you please help clarifying what really
happens under the cover when all of the location extensions are removed for
a client using Google UI. For now this is what I have known so far (By
guessing from the UI behavior + API data pulls)
When all of the location extensions are removed for a client using Google
Ad UI:

   - The Location customer feed that linked to GMB account will be removed
   automatically

   - The Campaign feeds stay the same

   - The locations in GMB stay the same (*confirmed*)

Thanks

After removing all location extensions from Google using Google Ad UI for a

removed (The only I can see that is through pulling this object through the

pointing to the above *deleted* Customer Feed object. Right now the issue
causes our system to be in a weird state. I would like to get some

Please confirm is this an intended behavior or that was a bug from Google.

2019-02-17 Thread Phil
I was testing calls after adding the login_customer_id header and
continually hitting an error indicating that the user did not have access
to the sub account using the google ads api (python client library v0.7).
Upon further investigation, using the customer_service, I was able to make
a call to 'list_accessible_customers' only to find that only the MCC
account's resource name comes back in the response. This seems to indicate
that the MCC accounts are not being treated as MCCs in the new API since
they should be returning all child account customer IDs as well.

I believe this is the cause of the issue being expressed in:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/adwords-api/login$20customer$20id%7Csort:date/adwords-api/w7xLbo-Pn5E/SH5uY0xhGgAJ

as well as a few other posts.

This can be easily verified by invoking the
customer_service.list_accessible_customers on an MCC account using its
credentials. If you require the specific MCC account ID let me know.

RE: get error LINE_TOO_WIDE responsive display ad | google ads api beta

2019-02-17 Thread nikolay . makurin
Thnx, Bharani! My team had to duplicate a large amount of data with a shorter
header. I hope this problem will be solved soon.

Ad_Performance_Report does not match UI

2019-02-17 Thread Oliver
>From time to time, we come across an adgroup where the API returns more ads
than there are in the UI. API operations on those additional ads
subsequently fail with a MUTATE_ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED_FOR_CLIENT error
which normally means that these ads were created in Adwords Express.
