RE: What is the unit of cpc in the Forcast generation?

2022-03-02 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Wang,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

The cpc_bids depends on how much you rate are you set. For example, if you set
$0.25 USD as your max. CPC. If 500 people see the ad, and 23 of them click to
learn more, you pay only for those 23 clicks. Your max. CPC bid was $0.25 USD,
so you'll pay no more than 23 clicks x $0.25 USD, or $5.75 USD. Further
investigate the issue, could you please provide complete API logs (request and
response with request-id) so our team can further check.

You may send these to me via Reply privately to the author option. If this
option is not available to you, you may send it directly to
googleadsapi-supp...@google.com instead.

Thanks,

Which campaign criterion types allow setting bidModifier?

2022-03-02 Thread Diego Morello
Hi,

I have done several tests trying to figure out which campaign criterion
types support bidModifier, especially for update operations, but I still
cannot understand how this feature works. In several cases I have received
an error message ("*The field is not allowed to be set when the negative
field is set to true, e.g. we don\'t allow bids in negative ad group or
campaign criteria."*), but the API returns that even if we create a
biddable (non-negative) campaign criterion with null bidModifier.

I would like to know the following, which apparently the documentation does
not explain:

   - Which campaign criterion types allow negative or biddable criteria?
   - Which of them support setting bidModifier on creation?
   -
   - Which of them support modifications on bidModifier (upon update
   operations)?

Thanks!

Re: how to match ClickView with cost_micros for each type of targeting?

2022-03-02 Thread Inna Keegan
Hi Nirmita,

I don't see any cost in ClickView resource. But I do need to find out the
way how to get it from another resources and match with Click View.

In my example you can see 2 targetings with the particular Gclid. *Am I
right, that two targetings equally initiated the click?* In previous
version of API we had Criterion ID, so we could see how much money did each
Criterion spend with each click.

*Now, please, tell me, what report (resource) I should use, to see how much
money I spent for this click? *

Upload Click Conversions with wbraid

2022-03-02 Thread Evgeniy Lepikov
Hi there!
According to the documentation link

, it is now possible to add *wbraid* and *gbraid* parameter.

And below is an example with the API request code
link

Correctly I understand that to use *wbraid* parameter in request no longer
need to use *gclid* (now wbraid instead of gclid)
and instead of using *click_conversion.gclid = gclid* in the code will be
*click_conversion.wbraid
= wbraid*.
Or should both parameters be used at the same time ?

And second question, where to get *wbraid* value ?

Thank you for reaching out to our API support team.

However, since this appears to be an issue with the Java client library, I
would recommend that you reach out to the client library owners instead, via

Hi Werner,

Thank you for reaching out to Google Ads API support. Could you privately send
us a request and response log of API communication when log level is set to
'DEBUG', combined with a full screen screenshot of the UI that demonstrates
this reporting discrepancy?

The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST

see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the
sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging".

Google Ads reporting for device segments doesn't return all values

2022-03-02 Thread Skander Mansouri
Hi,

When testing the request

SELECT
campaign.id
segments.device
metrics.impressions
metrics.clicks
metrics.cost_micros,
metrics.impressions FROM campaign WHERE campaign.id = x AND segments.date =
'2022-02-24'
I was able to retrive the data relative to some device type and the others
even though it was 0 in the UI but the API doesn't send them.

I was wondering if the API does only return non 0 values or is it a bug?
Thanks!
Skander

Re: Sending users via the api

2022-03-02 Thread Darren Chamberlain
Hi,

This isn't really what I'm asking.

Let me try rephrase.

Ok so lets say I send up 1,000,000 users via the api.

After waiting a few days and everything that list says it only has 500,00

and of that 500k the match rate is 80%.

firstly what would be the reason or reasons that it only shows 500k out of
1mil.
Is it because only actual google accounts get added to the list?

if so secondly, does that mean the 80% match rate of the 500k is the match
rate of google accounts and 20% of the google accounts could not be matched
due to privacy settings etc

Payment profile can be shared across google product. & hence we trying to
link that payment profile to new sub accounts but through API its not
working though manually it working from Google ad Web UI.

Pls help to fix. Your help is highly appreciated.

RE: Reporting for Smart and Local campaigns after the upgrade to Performance Max campaigns

2022-03-02 Thread 'Google Ads API Forum Advisor' via Google Ads API and AdWords API Forum
Hi Maria,

I'm Kevin from the Google Ads API Team.

Existing campaigns will be the only ones affected by the auto-migration. You
can read the details listed under the Upgrade impact on existing campaigns
section of the blog post, if you haven't done so already. With the details
released as of now, there will be no changes in behavior for Performance Max
campaigns. However, I suggest you continue to follow our blog so you can get
updated in case there will be additional details/changes regarding this.

API, and we are currently focus on migration this download job to Google
Ads API, We donwload 25th Feb, 26th Feb and 27Feb data both from Google
Adwords API and Google Ads API for data compare.

Query we used to download data from Google Ads API:
String query = "select segments.date, segments.keyword.ad_group_criterion,
ad_group_ad.ad.id, ad_group.id, campaign.id, customer.currency_code,
metrics.cost_micros, metrics.clicks, metrics.impressions, segments.device,
metrics.interactions, metrics.interaction_rate from ad_group_ad where
segments.date between '2022-02-25' and '2022-02-28' and metrics.impressions

Re: (OAuth) Token has been expired or revoked

2022-03-02 Thread Alex Garcia
Can you please confirm the following?

When we change the status of the Project OAuth from TESTING to IN
PRODUCTION, should we generate a NEW Google Client ID and Google Client
Secret?

We did the test with the OLD Google Client ID and Google Client Secret
(after changing from TESTING to IN PRODUCTION), and that might be the cause
for it to doesn't work as expected (expired after 7 days).

Re: ASPECT_RATIO_NOT_ALLOWED

2022-03-02 Thread RANANJAYPRATAP SINGH
Hi Thanks for response ,
In my second request , If I upload any image and if that image already
uploaded previously with some other ad or adgroup then I am getting API
CANNOT_MODIFY_ASSET_NAME Exception and below error message .
*There is an existing asset that represents the same content as the asset
to be added, but with a different name: the input asset has name
'ADWORDS_API image asset'; and the existing asset has name 'ADWORDS_API
image asset_2022-02-XX_17-51-30' and ID 2416. Remove the existing asset
first if you would like to change the name of the asset.*

In this case I use the Asset Id returned in error message "*2416" *then
my ad creation getting success so basically I have to use this ID so
currently I parse above error message to extract ID from it , is there any
API method by which I can query already uploaded asset and get ID.

Otherwise your proposed image resolution working fine for us.

Hi Amol,

Thank you for the updates. We appreciate your patience with this thread.

To help you in this issue, could you please confirm if the user account / email
address you used to create API access / refresh token has the right access
level to manage billing and if it has access also to the payment profile? If
yes but the issue still persists, could you please provide the user account /
email address that used to create API access / refresh token so we can discuss
it with the rest of the team.

Best regards,

Offline Conversion Partial Failure ValidateOnly

2022-03-02 Thread Steven Jeanne
Hello !

I'm trying to upload offline conversion with validateOnly true option.

I'm aware that I can't use "results".
I'm trying to return errors.
GoogleAdsError have a method GetOperationErrorsByIndex().
In the case of offline conversion, it's not "operation" per se.

Question : How can I get error for a conversion from the partial failure
object in validate only state ?

Re: Suddenly getting "InvalidArgument" on querying ad_group_audience_view

2022-03-02 Thread Zweitze
The information on v9 was provided.
On v10 the logs revealed something bizarre - nothing was logged. And yet
the debugger show the call was made, very strange.

Strange 503 Error from Google Ads API: 503 failed to connect to all addresses

2022-03-02 Thread Iván López
Hello,

Since March 1 19:00 GMT+1 (hour of Madrid, Spain), we are experimenting a
very strange behavior with the Google Ads API. All was working well in our
system with the processes that uses this API. And nothing has changed from
our side when the errors start to happen.

We have two system, with two different credentials to use the API. These
are the following:

Credentials 1:

*access token*:
ya29.a0ARrdaM-ODRG6B9fkLXfkhaNyQRKDf-zVaiEiIIu2BFb8J_1M9t93id7wPSBG_ny311iN2OUdKJ2dZC2XsPBIeCeVES7n0L9E111OahcxqAkJ5CtUYZxBiQsibtWim3rJ-WPvfUA-47WJ8X3vuY4TYNxclraB
*refresh token: *

Credentials 2:

*access token*:
ya29.a0AfH6SMAMMZ8zfyAmW9ksPulIGC6kgZUSwzlLzWrDGFNrslF4ULH9PBcivf592sYNy-DeKnh85Dmrsfa8tnibQId5tGh9kSqUGqbPP2RRN5SFomsRYpf6CWuK5-i0UdvoXvcztIuAY5POXklNdBHTx8Cqvy9f

Some requests to the API are throwing these two errors:

grpc._channel._InactiveRpcError: <_InactiveRpcError of RPC that terminated
with:
status = StatusCode.UNAVAILABLE
details = "failed to connect to all addresses"
debug_error_string =
"{"created":"@1646211620.826781346","description":"Failed to pick
subchannel","file":"src/core/ext/filters/client_channel/client_channel.cc","file_line":3158,"referenced_errors":[{"created":"@1646211620.826780191","description":"failed

to connect to all
addresses","file":"src/core/lib/transport/error_utils.cc","file_line":147,"grpc_status":14}]}"
>

google.auth.exceptions.TransportError:
HTTPSConnectionPool(host='accounts.google.com', port=443): Max retries
exceeded with url: /o/oauth2/token (Caused by
NewConnectionError(': Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 101] Network
is unreachable',))

As I said, we are getting these response in some of our processes, but in
others (executed same time and with exactly the same types of requests)
these errors do not appear, they finished ok. It is very strange because
everything was going ok since it started to fail in many of our processes
from yesterday at 7 pm (Madrid Hour).

Is there something wrong with the API? We are experimenting same error in a
large variety of calls.

Please, we need an answer as soon as possible.

Thank you

Ivan

Re: UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR

2022-03-02 Thread paco...@webrepublic.ch
Hi,

We are also experiencing the same issue for some of our products and users.
We also agree with Outleads and TapClicks that the API should continue
working until the sunset date.

Kind regards,
Paco
