Re: Why there are more Location criterion id available to set target in UI than available in Geotarget file

2020-07-31 Thread Gopal Krishan Gupta
My question is specifically about API. How can we retrieve the location
criterion ids using API which are available in Google ads UI ?

Can you please share the email id, and I would happy to send the email, and
will share my learning back on this forum as well for the benefit of other
API users.

Why there are more Location criterion id available to set target in UI than available in Geotarget file

2020-07-30 Thread Gopal Krishan Gupta
It looks like using the web UI, I can set target for more locations than
are available in geolocation file published here
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/geotargeting.

For example using UI, I can choose a city 'Narnaul' in India with criterion
id 9298109, but this is not available in list of all criterion id published
here.

Is there a way for us to retrieve list of all available criterion id which
can be targeted ?

What happens if you have a campaign using a location id which became OBSOLTE, will it stop serving ?

2019-06-13 Thread Gopal Krishan Gupta
In the locationCriterionService, status for a location is PHASING_OUT,
OBSOLETE and ACTIVE. I understand going forward we can't use obsolete
location. But what happens if already created used location in the past
which became obsolete. Will campaign stop serving ?

Re: Ad type for expanded text ads containing third headline

2018-08-14 Thread Gopal Krishan Gupta
Thanks for replying. We know that it is not supported in the API at the
moment, my question is when they are going to be released in API, will ad
type be EXPANDED_TEXT_AD or some new one ? If they are same ad types, are
these new fields( third headline and second description) going to be
optional or mandatory ?

Ad type for expanded text ads containing third headline

2018-08-14 Thread Gopal Krishan Gupta
Just came across this documentation which says that Google ads is going to
allow third headline in the expanded text ads.

https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7056544?hl=en_topic=3119117

But it is not clear if it will be a new Ad type or the existing ad types
(EXPANDED_TEXT_AD) ? There no documentation available for the API users for
this feature, this sound like an important feature, we wanted to be ready
when it start to roll out in August.

Can you confirm if it is the same ad type or different ad type is going to
be used for ads containing 3rd headline ?
