Request to unlock API key for Gemini API

I am writing to request that my API key be unlocked. I understand that I 
was using the API incorrectly, and I apologize for any inconvenience this 
may have caused.

I did not read the Gemini API documentation carefully, so I mistakenly 
thought that I could use the API without any restrictions. When I 
encountered errors, I switched to several different API keys, which 
resulted in my account being flagged for fraudulent requests.

I have already submitted an appeal, but I have not received a response yet. 
I would be grateful if you could review my case and help me regain access 
to the Gemini API.

I understand the importance of using the API responsibly, and I assure you 
that I will read the documentation carefully and follow all the guidelines 
in the future.

request and still no reply. Is it possible to receive an update on the

I have received a notice from my cybersecurity insurance that a google API 
key was flagged, I have no idea what this means other then it tells me to 
regenerate new key. I have been trying to get ahold of google ads and to do 
avail. Is this some thing i need to worry about or hit skip on report

Can I access new client Ads account data with the API key generated under my account

Hi there, 

I am building a system that fetches the Ads insight and generates a custom 
report. It's working as expected while fetching the data from the client's 
account that we already have access to with the API key. 

Just wondering whether with the existing API key, can I use that to get 
insights and details of a new onboarding client to whom I don't have access 
by using some sort of Google authorize.

Any help would be much appriciated

Enable API Key - Errors

When I enable the following API Key I see that I have multiple requests and 
errors...When I check the error in the console I see this : 

This API project is not authorized to use this API. Places API error:

the developer token that you requested. However, I am afraid that our team 
doesn't have access to this request so I would not be able to provide any

With this, I would suggest to follow up the Compliance team instead via this

process and approve this kind of request so they are more equipped to provide

We are trying to build dashboard for our internal team to check all running 
campaing analytics in single dashboard, to achive it we were exploring google 
Ads API to fetch campaing, ad-group, ad stats data.

API key for Test Account in Google Ad Manager Account

Hello,

We are trying to build dashboard for our internal team to check all running 
campaing analytics in single dashboard, to achive it we were exploring 
google Ads API to fetch campaing, ad-group, ad stats data.

I am using google-ad python lib. I have shared code to get campaing and 
ad-group data.

When I am trying to fetch receiving following error.

I have 2 quesiton.
1. How to get API key for Ad Manager Test Account
2. How to solve the error of Ad Group API

I have googled and spend 5 hours to resolve it but couldn't found solution. 
Please help me.

What level of access required to obtain Google Ads API Key?

Hi,

I want to apply for an API Key for Google Ads API for the purpose of custom 
reporting.
When I filled in the form at MCC level I got this message:

"The user does not have permission to perform this action"

So I'm wondering what level of access does my account need?

Cant create Merchant Center API Key "We can't complete your request right now. Please reload..."

When I try and create an API key it gives an error "We can't complete your 
request right now. Please reload this page to try again.:"

I've refreshed, cleared cache, logged in and out, went incognito etc.. 
nothing seems to work, any ideas? Is something broken on the api key 
generation side?

Hi Erik,

So that your external development team can access all the accounts under
that new manager account (MCC), you will need to create a new set of OAuth2
credentials
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/authentication> using
an email address which has access to that new MCC.

You may also note that an approved developerToken (with basic access) only
allows users to make AdWords API calls against production accounts, but
does not necessarily give users permission to access or modify information
within their account(s).

OpenWeatherMap Error, not detecting the API key

I hope you might be able to help me. I am running an AdWords script using 
OpenWeather API and your tutorial here: 
https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/docs/solutions/weather-based-campaign-management#bid-by-weather

 

I have everything setup but when I try to run I get this error: “Error: 
Please specify a valid API key for OpenWeatherMap. You can acquire one 
here: http://openweathermap.org/appid (line 546)”.

 
I have double checked the API key a couple of times, I have tried creating 
a new API Key on OpenWeather website. However, no luck with that. Could you 
please let me know what I shoul do?

If not, please go ahead and fill it out. Once you submit that form, the 
AdWords API Compliance team will respond with an answer within a business 
day.

Trying to get an API key

Hi there,

I have been trying to get an API key for over a month now. 

I contacted support a while back and was asked to fill out 2 forms. I have 
done that and never received a response back. I then tried to email you 5-6 
times again, with no response. I have also called and was then referred to 
post on this group.

I would like to get an API key, I've been waiting for a long time and need 
to get one ASAP.

Please help me out.

I also filled out the token application form 
(https://services.google.com/fb/forms/newtoken/) which after pressing 
submit gave me no feedback. I also have not heard form the support team for 
several weeks. I tried filling out the from on Google Chrome and Internet 
Explorer.

You can get a developer token by following the instructions on our sign up 
guide https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/signingup. If your 
token has been pending approval for more than 2 business days, usually that 
means that you have missed a communication from our token review team. 
Please make sure to double-check that you have access to the email address 
on file, and check any spam folders to make sure you can receive their 
messages.

Adwords API Key - Disapproved WTF

Dude what is up with Adwords and their API? We have been approved for 4-5 
months. Just got done undergoing months and months of development and now 
they have disapproved our key. WTF? We have responded to their requests, 
and nothing. This is ludicrous, we manage over 500k a month in adspend, and 
this is what we get...

Worried about requirements for adwords api key

1. Customers to sign up for my website, when they create their first ads. I 
want to use the adwords api to create an account for the customer.
2. Let customers manage their accounts through my online client.

I've read the requirements on using the adwords api and I think there is no

Can you please clarify what key do you mean? The AuthToken should be valid 
for 2 weeks while OAuthToken is valid indefinitely.

API Key only good for 24 hours

[NJ2CA]

My API key is only valid for 24 hours, then I have to generate a new key. I 
can't find what is causing this, and haven't found any similar problems 
with solutions in any threads. Maybe I'm missing something , but any help 
would be great. I don't want to have to pdate my key every day.

I've had a look in to the sandbox and will have a play with some of the 
features to be honest we're not going to throw lots of resources at this if 
we can't get am API key :p

It took us several months to get our API access back. You may try
calling AdWords Customer Care. I think (866) 246-6453 is the number.

You can start implement your tools in Sandbox now, without API key.

I know 2 ways to get know more about approval progress:
1. Send message to adwordsapi-tok...@google.com about how is going
approval and how long it can be.
2. Google Office Hours (every Friday you can contact with Google API
Dvelopers by video)

As I understand better to get any result from first and it will be not
successful, you can ask developers what to do in your situation.

Usually it takes up to 3 weeks.

But double check that your application will not violate API ToS. In
other way your request can be not approved.

Hi Rodrigo, mib,

To get an API key,

1. If you have an MCC account, login to that MCC account. Navigate to
My Account-AdWords API center and follow the instructions on that
page to complete the signup. Please make sure you are in your MCC
account (there should be a My Client Center tab if you are within an
MCC), since this is a fairly common source of issue and frustration.

2. If you don't have an MCC account, create one as described here:
http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/answer.py?hl=enanswer=22531.
Then perform step 1.

3. If you are performing step 2 and you get one of those user already
exists or similar errors, then try creating a new gmail account and
then use that login to create MCC on step 2.

In case you face any issues, feel free to ask on the forum, and I'll
help you out.

Me too, I am not finding a clear way to handle api , sandbox usage
tokens etc.. this is very bad and i can't take up this kind of issues

I give up trying to get an API key

I've been trying for about three months to get an API key. I can't
seem to figure this. I've wasted hours in circles of 'help' pages
reading usless information that leads me even more frustrated then
when I started. This is my first on the topic and I hope I don't have
to wait a month for response.

So let's see: You need an MCC account to get an API key. Fair. I have
one. What's next? You must sign up for the Adwords API Account
directly. Here's a quote from the main page:

you can sign up for the AdWords API directly from the My Account tab.
Click on API Center and follow the instructions

Problem. I don't see API Center.

So I did some reading for an hour and came across this post:

This lead me no where. At some point (some time ago) I did go through
the process of actually applying for an API key. Since then I haven't
received any email or otherwise confirmation of anything. Searching on
trying to finding a solution is a maze of circles that bring me back
to the same pages I saw an hour when I started.

I'm extremely frustrated. Can anyone suggested the magical page I need
to read in order to get an API key? I mean, why is it so difficult? I
think jumping out of a plane would be easier at this point.
