Re: [AFMUG] Dallas crane collapse

2019-06-09 Thread Jason McKemie
Wow, I wonder if that was because something was faulty on the crane or a
really bad storm? Hopefully no one else got killed or seriously injured.

How long till US Mail figures out it’s cheaper to sent their mail over
Amazon’s transport?

Sure, why not? :) Everybody wins.

Outsourcing to a more cost effective provider is already a thing, in the
sense that Fedex uses USPS as the last mile provider for some deliveries.

[AFMUG] OT Billions and Jupiter

2019-06-09 Thread Chuck McCown
Season finale of Billions was very satisfying. Next season is set up such that
it could be great.

Don’t forget to go look toward the Southwest right after sundown tonight. With
field glasses setting on something stationary you can see the moons of Jupiter.
Tiny pinpricks of light to the lower left and upper right of the main disk. I
doubt you will have trouble finding it. Pretty much the brightest thing in the
sky other than the Moon. --

What you are describing is basically a CATV network. Why would anybody be
upset about that?
