along later. I barely remember Howdy Doody and a show called Hoot
Nanny.

As a kid I didn’t watch Mr. Rogers, he was just TOO
nice. (= boring)

I was more into Garfield Goose. Maybe that was a local
Chicago thing since it was on WGN.

And Mr. Wizard. Sheesh, today he would probably be
arrested as a pedophile. Did kids come over to visit Mr. Rogers?
Yep, he’d be in jail too.

PG
probably. No foul language, a minor amount of violence. No sex or
nudity. Just a story about a guy who had issues with his father.
Based on a true story. He was a writer assigned to do a piece on Mr.
Rogers.

Younger kids will
not get it at all. They would be totally bored I think. Teens may
appreciate it, especially if they are having issues with their parents.

I watched Captain Kangaroo, but I felt like I related to Mr.
Greenjeans more. Maybe I'm more of a Soupy Sales kind of guy.
BTW - Interesting interview Gale King did with Tom Hanks. He said
he was terrified of doing this part because Mr. Rogers was so well
known and almost universally loved. Fred Rogers, by all accounts
was really playing himself (i.e. he was no put on).
