Ordered a couple AHx4's today. We'll see. -/+48 support and dual AC does look pretty cool. I would still prefer something like that with an SFP slot or two. The CCR1009-PC's are OK, but 35 watts at a smaller site is kinda much. OTOH, the 1100AHx4 is 25W max, but buys you a few more ports. It's nice not to need a switch for a site with 8, 10, 12 radios. What I would LOVE to see is a CCR-whatever with 16x SFPs in two switch groups and 4x SFP/SFP+ with direct CPU lanes. Copper modules, fiber modules, whatever I need at a site. Dual AC and -/+48 too. I'd probably put that at every single site that it would fit. We have 3 ahx2 left on the shelf, so soon we will need more, thats what we will get, i dont see anything being all that different aside from the processor beef. Ive been overall satisfued with the ahx2 so i doubt there will be much complaint, its a 300 dollar router, i dont expect my alero to to perform like a porche, but it gets me to work. Woulda been nice if they stuck at least one SFP or SFP/SFP+ slot on it. Obviously they were trying to use the same 1100 form-factor and case though. My friend Tom Smyth has one. Ether11-13 was always funky in one way or another on the AHx2s. I'm still waiting for the AHx4 without the Dude crap.
