It would not need internet to open this book after downloading.

[Ai] a small query on Railway concession

hi all,

Just a small question, how can we renew our railway concession
form/certificate when it expires? I went through some of the previous
mails and unsure if we're still able to book tickets using the
concession certificate with E-cards coming in the picture.
I'm in Delhi if that helps.

Thank you

Kind regards

Dear friends,

Hope all are doing well,

so this subject interested me much , "Blind Mice moll " was one such
which had all audio described movies, similarly I would request in
india it would be we could have more movies which caters regional
languages as well, and it could be great if we would have separate
section for audio described movies, many of our friends will be happy
and will use the same.

[Ai] Problems in using Excel 2016 with JAWS 17 & 18

2017-08-20 Thread Sameer via Ai

Dear List Members,

I have been facing problems in using Excel with JAWS since last Thursday
(17/08/2017) & seek your kind assistance in solving them.

I am using a 64-bit desktop computer with Windows 7 as my operating system. I
am using an original licenced version of Office 2016. Currently three versions
of JAWS – 15, 17 & 18 are installed on my computer with JAWS 18 being my
default version.

Until Thursday evening, everything was working fine without any problems. Since
then, Excel hangs up whenever I try to work in it with either JAWS 17 or 18. If
I work in Excel with JAWS 15, it works perfectly. All other Office 2016
products – Word, Powerpoint etc work properly irrespective of the JAWS version
being used.

I have completely uninstalled all versions of JAWS including user settings &
shared components but the problem continues after reinstallation of JAWS.

My computer engineer has verified that the Office 2016 software is properly
installed & updated to the latest version. All Add-ins & unnecessary toolbars
have been removed from Excel.

Kindly suggest how I can get Excel working properly with JAWS 17 & 18.

Thanking all in advance for any & all suggestions.

 Hi Everyone,

A large portion of the documents that I receive are in the form of
inaccessible image-based PDFs. I use Fine Reader 11 to convert them

While the end product in some circumstances is more than 90% accurate,
in some cases it is not more than 60-65%.
As a result, at best, I am only able to understand the gist of what I
am reading as opposed to the actual content.

As lawyers, we are expected to pay a lot of attention to detail and it
becomes difficult to make sense of documents whose level of accuracy
 is so less.
At the same time, it is not feasible to get these documents, which run
into tens of pages, read by human readers and I can typically read
them twice as fast with a screen reader.
So I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest ways of dealing with this
 problem.

I have used Robo braille, and the level of accuracy that it offers is
even lesser than what you get with Fine Reader.
Will migrating to Fine Reader 14 or a different software help?

 Hello Aakash

You can register for another secondary library. You can be a member of
 more
than one libraries on Sugamya Pustakalaya.

The main function is to get offline services. Example, you can request
 for
 a
book to be sent to you on a physical media. Your offline request goes
 to
 the
 library that you have chosen.

Member of any library will have access to all books available on
 Sugamya
Pustakalaya. You are not restricted to books of any single library.

Each library is free to have their own membership fee and rules. Thus,
 which
ever library you choose may have their own terms and conditions for
 membership.

You can follow-up with Saksham for library approvals etc. at
 libr...@saksham.org
I am copying this mail to Abdul at Saksham regarding our pending
 membership
 request.

 Thanks

 hi Akash,
 hope you are doing good.

as for as my concern, I think, you cant change your local library
 preference from the sugamya pusthakalaya.
but, if the saksham does not aproved your documents with the member
 ship
which you requested, then you can change your preference by requesting
 with

To begin with this offering we have uploaded below 10 audio

1 Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
2 Barfi
3 Dangal
4 Gandhi
5 Hanuman
6 Munna Bhai MBBS

It is so good to have them on the DAISY player or the DAISY player

It was quite an enjoyable experience to listen to them as a DAISY

I am sure you would enjoy tem as much.

Re: [Ai] Upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10

2017-08-20 Thread Chandrashekhar Kulkarni via Ai
Dear all,
Recently I upgraded to Windows 10 latest version. Since then I am
facing some difficulties.
I find it very difficult to shut down my laptop. In the earlier
version of Windows 10 after pressing window key I could easily locate
power button and shut down but I am not getting power option after
upgradation. I am using Jaws 18
.
Surprisingly I get all options as I used to get earlier if I use NVDA.
Further I cannot access MS. Office 2013. If I go to open ms word it
shows "memory could not be read"
Please advise.
Sincerely,
C. B. Kullkarni

[Ai] Dealing with inaccurately converted inaccessible PDFs

2017-08-20 Thread Rahul Bajaj via Ai
Hi Everyone,

A large portion of the documents that I receive are in the form of
inaccessible image-based PDFs. I use Fine Reader 11 to convert them
into word documents.

So I'd be grateful if anyone could suggest ways of dealing with this problem.

I have used Robo braille, and the level of accuracy that it offers is
even lesser than what you get with Fine Reader.
Will migrating to Fine Reader 14 or a different software help?

Best,
Rahul

2017-08-20 Thread shankar shan via Ai
Hi kiran, its grate to know that you will be going to updated with the
technology.
As for as my concern, you wont be facing much problems with latest
windows with accessibility.
More over, The Microsoft is concentrating much on the accessibility now a days.

You need to have latest version of jaws or n v d a to handel the
latest versions of windows.

As I experience, Skype for business does not required any scripts to
manage with accessibility.

As for your 2nd quary, if it’s a laptop, you cant assign the application key.
But there is some alternatives are there. Either you can use external
keyboard, or, shift f10 or, fn plus right ctrl key can act as an
application key.

Its after all a technology, some time you may face issues, but, the
list will be running all the time.
You can come and ask a quaries, people are there to help you.
