Re: [all-audio] Audio From HDMI To VGA Adapter

2018-10-18 Thread Tony
I purchased one of these last year. It worked as advertised but fairly
often the computer would think it had been disconnected or something and
switch audio to the internal speaker or to another sound device that was not
connected.

I finally gave up and replaced the TV with a inexpensive monitor that had
HDMI input.

I bought such an adapter that has also a 3.5mm line out and a micro usb
in case it needed power as I was told. I connected it to a digital tv
box as well as to the pc and even gave it power but how can I configure
pc and/or digital tv box to see it? In both cases I didn't connect a
monitor, is it necessary to use the latter for it to work or does it
function like usb sound card?

2018-10-18 Thread Dane Trethowan
I think from memory the "Start Ripping" button is near to where the output
folder is displayed, you'll have to label the buttons yourself with Voiceover.
Some of the buttons have help tags whilst others don't,.

Aman,
I'll find the model of the mic I own from Scenheiser myself later today, and
pass it on to you. It works exactly as you ask, and has no delay.

Hi Hamit, Brian and all,

Thanks very much for both your suggestions. I'm after a specific
product recommendation, not so much a store, I can, of course, contact any
number of stores, but what I want is someone who doesn't care if I buy
something or not. Sadly, sales people are in sales, which is why I ask here.
I'm also after something that doesn't require sight to use, specifically, no
inaccessible touch screen, pairing process, if necessary, to be accessible,
and so on.
As for Sennheiser, I've heard of the company but I am seeing allot of
headsets. Is there something which is not a headset and which will simply
transmit to a receiver from a microphone which is clipped on?
Thanks,
Aman

Re: [all-audio] Audio From HDMI To VGA Adapter

2018-10-18 Thread Aman Singer
Hi,

I would make two suggestions, if I may. First, can you plug a VGA
screen in? If so, does it work? Secondly, when you connect the device to the
computer, do you hear the hardware found sound? Further, when you connect
the device to the TV Box, does anything happen in terms of sound? If the
device is not functioning on either the computer or the TV box, and
particularly if it is not working with a screen, I would be tempted to think
the device has a problem. I have never seen one of these with a micro USB
plug, so there is, of course, a possibility that it requires a screen
plugged in to work. That is unlikely but I suppose it is possible.

I went to volume control like you described and HDMI is not there, no screen
reader is finding it as well, it is not working with anything even when I
plug micro usb to power it, I never connected a monitor in it yet.

I don't know about TV boxes, this depends on the box, I'm afraid.
Most will simply start using the device as soon as it is connected,
but if there are several HDMI out ports on the box, it may require setup.

Re: [all-audio] long-range wireless microphone

2018-10-18 Thread Aman Singer
Hi Brian,

I would be very grateful indeed if you would. Even if it's
discontinued, I can look up the series and get the new model, and there's
always the used market. Thanks in advance for the time and effort. Thanks also
for the delay issue, I forgot to mention I needed one with no, or very little,
delay, which can't be said of all digital models.
