When I change the row height the images do not move. This means that if I increase the row height, the rows below move down to accomodate the larger row. The pictures which are supposedly anchored to the cells to do not move, so they are no longer in the correct cell. There appear to be a number of issues/inconsistencies with the way calc handles image placement so my problem may be a manifestation of a wider bug. To indicate that the feature will display the underlying XML of the document. The "Reveal Codes" macro by Ian Laurenson's worked pretty good when I first tried it so many years ago. It looked pretty much like WP's Reveal Codes. Even a simple way of displaying when all the different formatting changes are occurring is a step in the right direction. Like showing non-printing characters as an example. We still have people that are using WP because of this feature. OOo Base does a call to SQLSetStmtAttr, setting the SQL_ATTR_MAX_LENGTH to 0. This attribute controls how many data (at max) the ODBC driver should return for binary and text columns. Per ODBC spec (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms712631(VS.85).aspx), "0" is a dedicated value which means "return all available data". Unfortunately, the NotesSQL driver interprets "0" as, well, "0" - and does not return any data at all for text columns now. The problem did not exist in OOo 1.1.x because this call to SQLSetStmtAttr was not present there. It was introduced because another driver needed this call, since it (also not conformant to the ODBC spec) did have a default other than 0, which produced other problems. Adding this call was considered a good solution, since it should not have had any side effects - obviously, we didn't care for other broken drivers like NotesSQL. So, we're down to: Doing this call breaks NotesSQL, not doing this call breaks another database. In both cases, it's a bug in the respective ODBC driver of the database vendor. The good news is: In the most recent version of this "other" driver (namely: PostgreSQL-ODBC), the bug is not present anymore. So, this bug here can be fixed by simply omitting the call to SQLSetStmtAttr. Since OpenOffice.org version 2.0 certain information is stored in the ODF text document to rebuild the assignment of paragraph styles to the outline style. This worked very well in all last versions. We had no problems in the past that this does not work. But, this information is missing in the ODF text document which You have provided. Because the version information which You have provided is not consistent with the one produced for official released versions of OpenOffice.org I have ask You to check where You have got this version. If I am sure that the software You are using are not an official OpenOffice.org one, then I can skip my root cause analysis, because then the root cause can not be found in official OpenOffice.org. In the meanwhile I installed Lotus Symphony 1.2 under Windows in order to investigate, if the exchange with Lotus Symphony causes the lost of the above mentioned information. (Again, I am not sitting only on my backside.) My test and result are the following: (a) I have opened the provided document in OOo 3.1 and corrected the assignment of paragraph styles to the outline style. (OD->seasoned_geek: Did You ever see that MRU has also worked on Your problem and that he has found a workaround?). (b) I saved the document. (c) Opening the saved document in OOo 3.1 does _not_ lose the numbering for the headings. (d) I opened the saved file with Lotus Symphony - headings are numbered. (e) Without any change I saved the document to a new file. (f) Then I opened the document saved by Lotus Symphony in OOo 3.1 --> The numbering for the headings is again lost, because of the above mentioned missing information. It reveals that Lotus Symphony does not preserve the corresponding ODF attribute style:default-outline-level for the corresponding paragraph styles and that OOo does not handle the Lotus Symphony created ODF text document completely according the ODF specification. Thus, the exchange with Lotus Symphony seems to be the root cause. OD->seasoned_geek: Can you please perform my above test with Your OOo version and Your Lotus Symphony version? Launch Writer and Accerciser. 2. Turn on event monitoring in Accerciser. 3. In Writer: a. Shift+F6 to move from the document to the Formatting toolbar b. Right Arrow to move to Apply Style panel c. Return to activate the Apply Style list d. Up/Down Arrow to select a different style e. Alt+Down Arrow to expand the list f. Up/Down Arrow to select a different style Expected results: A11y events (e.g. object:active-descendant-changed, object:selection-changed) would be emitted as the selected style changes. Actual results: No events are emitted as the selected style changes. Impact: Orca cannot present anything to the user who is attempting to change styles.
